Jim, I have the Speedway setup in my S10. I haven't had any problems in 29,000 miles! It is Noisy though, but at least you know it's pumping

Hey Ray, are you running the pump and fuel filter/regulator in your system, or just the pump. Also how's things going, don't see you posting much?...Jim

I am using the whole setup. But the pump is loud you can hear it real easy. I have been busy mowing all summer. Right now I'm in Florida waiting out Matthew at a Campground in Jacksonville. Came down to visit my Daughter and Grandkids. It's been a downer with all the rain.

Ray, bummer on the rain, but your still with family. Mark as been installing, what I call a sock on the pump, and it works great. Got in from Speedway, see if I can get this link to work. I'm doing something wrong on the link, but part is #960939, cost $14.99. Might want to check it out...Jim

Hey guys and gals, finally started work on my install of the FiTech unit. Worked a few hours on Sunday. Some more on Monday and Tuesday. Will finish up today and hope to report back on how it runs. We are going to have rain today for most of the day, will see.

1st and 2nd pics are of my old fuel system, it was hard line from front to back.

I should mention not to pay attention to the dates on the pics. I took alot on 10/9, took 0 on 10/10 and more on 10/11, but this was the order things got done.

Pic 1 Mark had removed part of the exhaust to weld in their bung plate.

Pic 2 This is where my exhaust connects to other side. (crossover H style)

Pic 3 It's hard to see but the 02 sensor is installed in the exhaust pic, and you can see were the old fuel hard line was tied to the old mech. fuel pump.

Pic 4 Here's a better pic of the 02 sensor.

Here is the new cooper/nickel hard line for return from unit. The orange wire is power to plus side of pump. I will come back later, open up the wire loom and put wire inside. Just want to get it running now.

1st pic shows the unit on drivers side, all the linkage hooked up very easy, just like it came off the carb. The incoming fuel line can be seen at the rear.

2nd pic is the center of the unit, looks nice.

3rd pic shows the return line on passenger side going back to tank. You can also see a lot of wiring along the manifold. In my case this could have been a lot shorter, but they have to make it to fit tons of cars and trucks.

I'm back.

These next two pics will show temp sending units. Took about 4 hrs to get this done. Both of the plugs in the heads, we could not get to move. So I decided to take out my gauge sender and install FiTech sender in that position,
and install mine in the water pump. (I have a Steward pump with bung in the center.) This all sounds simple, but I had to take and move both the alternator and ac units to get this done, plus the bung in the water pump is 1" so had to go to town and get a reducer from 1" down to 3/4" to install sender. I felt it was more important for the ECU to have a better read on temp than my gauge.

If I had any complaint it would be their wiring diagram. Colors do not match wires (but wires are labeled) they tell you a 6 pin connector and it is really a 2 pin and 4 pin connector. The only 6 pin connector is the large one for the 02 sensor.

The two pin connector has one red wire to a constant 12V battery source.
The orange wire goes to the + (plus) side of fuel pump.

The four pin connector has
Yellow wire for fan control ( did not use)
Blue wire to - (minus) side of coil (for tach or rpm)
White wire to a souce which will supply power in the on position and the crank position.
Black wire to AC IN (to kick up rpms)

Everything else is plug and play.

Since I had a Ron Francis wiring panel it was very simple for me to hook the white wire to the fuel pump circuit (which wasn't being use) to take care of both on and crank.

I also hooked the black wire to my AC/Heat circuit.

Hey Kees, not really a lot of work, just my problems with my install. Rained all day yesterday, should be dry today and I can drive it...Jim

During this install, Mark also installed a new stereo for me. The new one Pioneer to replace the old Panasonic. The new one has bluetooth and usb, so I can stop playing the single CD's, and get up to date.

Prior to starting the engine, Mark and I checked the system with the pump on and no leaks. Fired up the engine on Tuesday, started right up, a little ruff at first, but smoothed out. Mark and I were going thru the hand held controller, and then Mark said shut it off.

The return line was leaking gas at the fill tube to tank. After looking it over I removed the fill tube (Pic 1). It was around 6:00 p.m., so we decided to repair the next day. Pic was taken at 9:35 p.m.

Pic 2 This is the new set-up. You can't see it, but inside the large tube, the small 3/8" tube has been bent so it shoots the gas down the tube.
