Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Yeah. It came together well. I was really loving the retro '90s vibe with the paint and Vette wheels.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Thought I'd share these...
My 98 was in our display at an indoor show this weekend even though it's not really a "show truck" but she did look good under the lights... Last edited by JWall; 02-18-2014 at 04:03 PM. |

I can't find the pics I wanted. Ended up shaving down a gtp power mirror to fit the door. It fit and looked like it was made for it

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
I put some new rollers on the burban last year and am just now getting around to posting a pic.
specs are: Coys C-56 chrome 18x8 w/ 4.5" backspace 225/50 front tires 255/45 rear tires I also put Belltech rear shackles on the rear that dropped the rear another 3/4" or so. Jeff |

^ This. That's a damn nice looking Suburban. I like that you've kept the old grille too. It's refreshing to see the older grilles these days when everyone wants to update.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Thanks guys. Your comments tell me I hit the look I was going for. I like the clean "street rod" look if you will. I do have a few things I am planning to redo in the near future like switching back to the stock hood and working over the taillights to get rid of the reverse lights.
badgmc: Your comment about the grille is exactly why I put the old style grille back in. I originally built the burb after hitting a deer and put a 94-up GMC grille in it. When I hit Bambi #2 a year later I decided that you never see these trucks with the 88-93 grille anymore so that's what I put in. To me they also look cleaner and flow with this body style better. Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II
Updated pic. Got some new rims. They are a pretty popular wheel, but I like the low-maintenance of the powdercoat finish and they go will with the paint color.
