Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Item number 3. How to get the idle speed to drop off quicker, both going into park and when lifting the foot of the gas pedal.
At main menu go down to line 3 "Go EFI tuning" and press enter. So sorry for the bad pics, camera would not focus right in dark conditions.

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
When the new screen comes up go down to line 5 "Crank IAC", press edit, and another screen will come up (sorry no pic), but once that screen is up, it will show 100, press clear and then enter 75, then send to ECU, it should come back as "Suceeded". Now it is in the ECU, so shut off the key for 30 seconds to 1 minute and then your set. Anytime you send new info to the ECU it will be there, but not saved until the key is shut off, then it is saved.
Hope this may help someone, and sorry it took me so long to explain...Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Well guys and gals, wanted to give an update of the FItech unit and gas milage, but it didn't work out. Mark and I headed to a car show in Corning, AR, on Saturday morning to be there for the first car show of the 68 GMC, Mark had built. A deer decided to occupy the same spot on the road I was driving. Needless to say it didn't turn out well. Mark and I are both fine, one deer (buck) dead. So no update on the fuel injection (and will be some time before I can do any update). During the winter I will get the truck repaired, and go from there.
Here's a few pics of the accident...Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Have a couple questions. Has anyone used the Dynacore front fenders, and hows the fit? Also going back with a chrome grill this time, who has the best fitting unit? (Everything is more than likely made by same manuf. just sold under their name).
Thanks...Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
I love this truck. Just glad it wasn't worse. A new fender and grill looks like all you need. I agree chrome grill would probably be an upgrade anyway!

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Just when things were going grate!
The Dynacorn stuff looks good but there is a lot of massaging to get it to fit. The weight of a replacement fender is MUCH less than a stock fender

Thanks, yes very lucky, this time of year, deer are really moving. Soon as the adjuster takes a look, it will start coming apart...Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Thanks you for the kind words on the build. Adjuster was out today and looked at the truck, should have some numbers for me in a day or two. Then I'll start ordering parts, etc. Yes it's all fixable, just time consuming...Jim
