Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!

here's some newer pics of my 69 c20. I was stupid and got rid of her about a year back but came to my senses and got her back. I got a lot of work ahead of my self but I'm just gonna be driving the wheels off it. the guy I had sold it to heated the springs to lower it so I gotta get new springs but I wanna keep her low. the moon discs are gonna come off just not my style.
warmed over 350 with sm465.

Yes sir, that is the plan. I was determined to find a truck with the original paint. They're only original once, right?

Gotta figure out some wheels and what static drop to go with.... I'm cruising the forum like crazy looking for ideas.

The tires are 15". I dropped the front by cutting one coil off the spring. The rear has leaf springs and I took all but the three bottom ones out. Drives good with these changes.

Cool truck! Wash it, and use some Maguires Cleaner Wax. It'll liven it right up and help protect the patina

The grille looks pretty straight. A little shining and paint will bring it back to life.

I cleaned her up some in between working on it yesterday and there is some decent paint underneath. The white rockers are actually pretty white once I scrub all the mud stains off... I'm anxious to get the wheels back on so I can roll it out of the garage and give it a good bath. Are you sure this wasn't your truck? A white dog had been cruising in it based on the hair I am cleaning out

The grille is actually tweaked a bit on the left side- above where the bumper is bent (the hood is pushed in there a touch too).... I need to see if there is anyone around here local that can fix it. Replacing it will cost too much $$$ and then it might be too shiny.

I put a good 20 hrs into it this past weekend.... Mostly cleaning. F*cking farm truck, I have to get tons of mud to see whats underneath!
