Re: My 69 custom/30 rollback project
Not that fast man...I just got my new pins for the lower pivot point(solid instead of galvinized fence pipe) that they had in it..I have seen some rigging before but not on something like this..
My hydraulic unit will be in about a week from now..So it will be a week before another update...LOL |

Re: My 69 custom/30 rollback project
I have been using it since this last post was made..I had moved 3 times, got a new computer..ect...The truck is still doing fine..I about use it 2-3 times a week.
where are all my old friends at anyway? Here it is with 11,000 lbs of trucks on it..it weighs 9,000 empty. Has anyone made a truck like mine? Or am i the only one to be "crazy" enough to do it? Last edited by 70BLAZERX2; 06-09-2011 at 07:21 PM. |

Re: My 69 custom/30 rollback project
I bought the 69 CST/10 in 1985 with 125,000 miles on it with a blown motor for $600
I rebuilt it all..it was a 2wd longbed then..put miles on it..in 1994 it had 250,000 miles on it..got a new gm crate motor in 1994,frame off as a shortbed rebuild..put more miles on it..wore the truck out again. in 2001 ,new motor.again..with 478,000 miles. .then this build.. the 69 cab/wire harness ,fact a/c tilt,tach,buckets..now has 650,315 miles on it..I put all but 125,000 miles the orignal owner put on since it was new..This truck just keeps making me money..I love my old 69... You try and get that many miles out of one of these new ones...NOT |

Re: My 69 custom/30 rollback project
Yeah, I remember you posting a lot several years back.... since your new account, I never realized that it was you. Welcome back, though you have been around again for a awhile without some of us knowing.
Did you get rid of your 65' with the 70' Ls5 454 in it? Trevor

Re: My 69 custom/30 rollback project
Howdy Eric! I had a sneaky suspicion this was you (was 99.9% sure),just figured you'd say something sooner or later. How did I know? A couple of things...but mainly, there ain't no other solid beam axle rollback truck this style (least way not no purple) walking this earth but the one in East Tennessee right there in that picture!
