Brand Loyalty is @#$*+> to me. I bought my wife a new 03 Z71 Tahoe, beleiving what GM told me, this vechicle would last her at least 200,000 than I could, buy her another new one and add it to my play list. The first problem I discovered was piston slap was not resolved in 02, if it was our 03 had a 02 motor. The 4WD had 3 sensors replaced before the transfer case went south. The oil pump in the transfer case was fixed to the side of the case with a clip. The clip broke, the pump rubbed a hole in the side of the case. After having the transfer case replaced with a rebuilt unit, A NEW UNIT WAS NOT AVAILABLE, I asked what has been done to prevent this problem from recurring. I was told nothing could be done. So I asked how will I know that the pump is rubbing on the case again. The answer was your case will have a hole like the last one.
You ask me about brand loyalty? I replaced it with a VW Jetta Diels Jetta. When I get the 69 C10 finished, I intend to look for a 72 4WD Blazer, but I will never buy another new GM vechicle.

Hey Glenn, you should just have the local 4x4 shop repair it right and then send GM the bill.

I think I speak for a lot of folks Glenn when I say that is why we are the 67-72 GMC/Chevy truck club members, we all know the quality we are driving because it is Tried and True !!! I may not get 200,000 out of my '67 or my '69 when I get finished rebuilding them, but I assure you whith what I know now and modern technology added to my old IRON, I'll get close. The reason I own these vehicle is they have quit me less and stood up under more abuse than all the others combined. My '76 is close to 300,000 now and it is on a new engine and rear dif. But I trust it to go anywhere I want too and if I have to work on it on the way I can do any and all repairs myself. 90% of my trucks are american steel not Jap plastic, Mexican pot metal or China chalk aluminum most of the parts on my trucks were made by Americans just like me who believe in quality. Like one of the posters said Pry it from my cold dead hands, Outside my "HOLY Bible" nothing has been more True or lasted !!!!!!! That's my $00.02 worth.

For the cost of roughly 14 months of my wife's yukon I bought my 85 Silverado, put in a new headliner, new seat cover (the replacement vinyl cover not a "cover"), and a newly built ready to rumble 406/700r4 so if I get 14 months out of it, everything after that is gravy. Not to mention the 80 per months in insurance savings makes it require even less time to make it save me money.

No brand loyalty here.
Current vehicles are '97 Nissan Altima (better half's car), '91 Jimmy, lowered, 4d, 2wd (DD/winter beater), '72 Chev 'burb 2wd, lowered(if you couldn't tell by the name),350/700r4(summer toy, drivable project).
I've owned around 60 vehicles of most different makes, Mopars, Fords, Chev/GM/Olds, Honda, Isuzu(I'll never make this mistake again),Toyota.
I get bored with them or p.o'd and I send them down the road, and it doesn't hurt that I quite frequently can pick up vehicles cheap through my job.

I am not brand loyal at all. I am a value shopper. Just happens that the best value in a particular type of vehicle that I may have been shopping for has always turned out to be a GM product.

When I was looking for a 3/4 ton 4x4 crew cab truck, I looked at many Dodges, Fords, and GM trucks. The 1500HD I bought turned out to be the best bang for my buck.

Brand has nothing to do with it for me. I buy vehicles like I buy stocks.

All GM but the Escort. Landlord gave it to me free due to his brand loyalty issues...Mopar all the way, and having me park a C-10 out front was just TOO much for him. He tried to sell the car to me a couple years before but I wouldn't go for it. I should have held out on the freebie...hard tellin' how much he would have paid me to take it! Seriously, I still haven't been able to kill the thing. Maybe a chev in ford clothing?

Currently we've got my '72 GMC, my '06 YZ-250, and my wife's '04 Toyota Corolla, and '99 f4.

The Toyota is our 3rd, and we'll probably always own one. The best vehicles, and the best warranty/service I've seen yet.

The bikes are easy. Too much fun, and I'm not a fan of cruiser-type bikes.
