Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
Tried www.***************** ? They make the spring cups for front of 73-87 Trucks. Matter of fact I have a set and if they'll fit your blazer I'll give ya a good price on em since I decided not to bag mine.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
Thanks a lot guys. I am not anywhere near being able to do this to my truck since it is my daily driver(going to do entire front and rear end when I bag it). I have to wait until I finish an engine and body of my 79 Sierra k1500 before I can start this. This is also difficult since I am making room and time for my Dads '55 BelAir and '70 1/2 Camaro(also future projects).

I lost this in the replies. I can't remember honestly. I think it is 36", you may want to call them. I plan to talk to them before I get one.

I wish I was able to pull that off for myself, let along someone else.
Great job, keep it up.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
well i lied here is what i have been trying to get together all summer. my deadline has come and gone, but summer has a few days left. it isnt a truck or a chevy but its going to be fun. i've been building a 557 ci ford with a c6 trans for my 1968 ford galaxie 500 fastback. ill post pics of the motor and trans but i cant show pics of the car until i get paint on her which should be this weekend or next.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
ok got the galaxie running pretty good. now ill get back to my little brothers truck starting sept 3. sorry for the delay. well i've been going back and forth with just going carb and canning the tpi until next time, but i hate giving up. i just need to tune the chip, but i dont want to pay anyone so i bought all of the software and hardware along with a few chips. this is the last step in getting it running, but its annoying. what do you guys think? get her going and then worry about the tpi later? or just push it through? let me know!

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
face we have the same problem. Too many projects to complete in one mans lifetime. I know its tough to stick to one long enough to get it done, getting burned out on it, waiting for parts, and just needing to fix something else so you have a driver all come into play. Dont let the TPI slow you down, keep going forward on it and get it done. Paint it, get the gut done, and make it a runner, let him deal with the details like a sound system and the little things.
We did a 68 Mustang for my brother when he graduated High School. It wasnt a ground up rebuild, but we rebuilt everything mechanical and painted it, so its not entirely unheard of to hook your brother up. If you are getting burned out on it, have him lend a hand and keep you motivated. I taught my brother how to rebuild his transmission, engine, and rear end during the build of his Stang. Stay focused or it will take forever.. like my Cougar. I reworked my 76 swb into a near driver instead of working on the Cougar. So its another year down and still not running. I like the Riv, wouldnt mind taking it off your hands, but I have enough projects to last me until I die.. |
