Re: crewcab67
I think by law you need a side marker light, not one that is on the side facing back. I do think all of them looks good. I hope that a cop who is seeing you at a stop light won't think they are break lights or turn indicaters that are faulty.

Re: crewcab67
Great build!! I would remove the side markers completely. Side markers were not required untill 1968 and is why you don't see them on 67s. The 68/69s were only reflectors and were not lit up untill 1970. Another consideration is the reflector has to be seen on the side of the truck, so aproaching cars will be able to see it when the lights are not on. So the markers on the rear of the stepside fender does not meet the standard. This is why I would just shave them all off... WES

Re: crewcab67
I think you should just put a reflector in the hole you already cut and welded in on the dually fender, and reinstall the marker light in the box side. That will give the rear of your truck more area to be seen at night if you are pulling a trailer.

Re: crewcab67
cool build on a even cooler truck
i'd leave the bedside marker and remove the one on the deullie fender or move it futher forward even in front of the wheel. possably split a deluxe lamp in half and mount it as a side clearence light. ...just my 2 cents love the factory style sunroof idea what was the donor rig? I am thinking about doing that to my burb now

Re: crewcab67
Your build is really coming along! I like the cab light panel and moon roof your adding. Are your dually fenders welded on or do they bolt onto the bed?

Re: crewcab67
I'm gonna need a towel now.. WOW. I don't know if I've ever seen a more cool truck come together! Unbelievable!
Were those gauges expensive? I'm doing this same sort of build with an 83 CC SB on an 06 chassis. It's coming together slowly but surely. Gauges is something I got to get figured out yet. Not to rub salt in a wound but I'm so glad I used someone else besides PPE to do my harness! That's horrible, especially at the premium they charge for it! Yikes! Rockin build bud!

Re: crewcab67
One thought on the wiring, which I was considering doing in my blazer before moving on to a different projects was to use a 95-00 Ford explorer underhood fuse box or one from a jeep cherokee, mid 90's I believe.
The Explorer has spaces for relays and both large and small fuses, and appears to be built in blocks, so you can swap out blocks if you need more of one type of fuse. It also has a bracket that looks like it would work well on the inner fender and it has a lid to seal the fuses from the elements. Picture of one with bracket: Inside. you can see the "Modules/blocks" are yellow Lid: and factory layout for this fust box: The Cherokee one has a good amount of spaces, a better bracket that should fit the inner fender better than the ford, and it also has a washer bottle mount on it if you need one of those Layout: Here is a better Jeep one. I believe I have one of these at home I can check. Inner fenders are in the attic though, so can't show them on it I love this build, and want to in the future find an old Railroad crew cab and dedicate the build to my late grandfather who used to work on the RR and would take me to the switch yard to ride on the trains when i was younger.
