Re: 292 (6 Cylinder) Engine/Split exhaust manifolds/complete exhaust
I'm also open to trades. Looking for a nice 67/68 Black steering wheel. 6 lug rally center caps that mount over the hubs in front or whatever!

Any chance you are coming down south for a vacation? haha. I am constantly trying to find one of these, and I keep kicking myself for letting one I had go.

$100, need it gone. Moving soon and I don't want to bring it with me. Lift it right in your truck!

Re: 292 (6 Cylinder) Engine/Split exhaust manifolds/complete exhaust
Already have a 292 that needs rebuilt too. #2 has a cracked ring & she blows smoke pretty bad but it runs damn hard on the 5 cylinders it has left. Been driving it for over a year this way & it IS a torque monster - even on 5!!
Please part - I could REALLY use that little adjuster bracket on the top of the alternator. Sounds like you have a lot of interest in parts. Consider taking the block to scrap because it will be heavy & worth the drive. Would you take $10 for a mailer envelope to 68134? Thanks for considering.

Re: 292 (6 Cylinder) Engine/Split exhaust manifolds/complete exhaust
I'm very glad someone got the whole thing & will hopefully rebuild & enjoy soon. The old 292 is an awesome 6cyl & has tons of grunt. I think they would do very well with an OD trans and 3.07 gears cuz they got tons of bottom end.
Happy for you 69oldog.

Re: 292 (6 Cylinder) Engine/Split exhaust manifolds/complete exhaust
I too was glad it went complete. I would've made more money parting it out but those things are so hard to find parts for I just couldn't do it to the next guy.
