Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Started hooking up the Ez EFI system today. I should have the cab back on the frame by this weekend so I can start routing fuel lines where I want them.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Worked on the bed a little this weekend. Wasn't too bad except for some rust in where the fenderwell attaches to the bed. Nothing that can't be fixed.

Patched up the bed this weekend. Still need to dress the welds but that should be the last of the rust repair!

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Dressed the welds and sprayed some raptor liner on the bottom of the bed. I didnt spray the parts that mount on the frame because I didnt want to throw off the cab to bed alignment. I know its probably minimal and im being overcautious but it makes me feel better

great looking work throughout! What type of coating is the Raptor product? I like that finish and will be needing to do the same mess to mine soon.

Looks good! Are you going to spray something on the areas where it hits the frame (rust converter or paint?)

Yeah the raptor liner is a 2 part system. You just mix in the catalyst, shake really well, and spray. It sprayed really easy and is pretty user friendly. It feels more like a hard plastic and not so rubbery like other undercoatings. You can get a whole kit for about $110 including the gun to spray it. See the link below:

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

First off....mini celebration for my 100th post woohoo!

I put in the new fuel lines today for the EFI system. I ran braided line from the tank to the frame rail and hard lines all the way up the frame rail. This was my first shot at ever making fuel lines and I think it turned out pretty good. I used 3/8" hardline and -6 braided line.

My first attempt at braided line and AN fittings ever. Pretty snazzy!

The finished braided lines:

X2!

I'm partial to parchment too. Gonna look great!

I've never messed with AN fittings. How difficult was it to fit those?

Well I dropped the seat off at the upholstery shop on Monday and it should be done by this Friday. Unfortunately I broke my foot last night playing basketball so progress will probably be slow.

Picked up the seat today. Upholsterer did a really good job. He fixed the foa

m, repaired all broken springs and painted the frame as well.

Thats gotta hurt. I guess without basketball you'll have more time to spend working on the truck. Eh?
