Re: Ol Virgil
the effect won't be so dramatic once you paint the shorty one color. the vertical weld lines cause a little bit of an illusion. It does look good though! What are you gonna do next? what size was the v8 you picked up?

Re: Ol Virgil
Picked up the 350 v8 from a friend and the 350 tranny. It was donated from an 84 chevy. Hoping to get the wireing sorted and finish stitching the bed. Would like to get it running again. Not enought time. Bet that new little one is growing hey!

Re: Ol Virgil
yep, she sure is! I'm blessed with a great family!
The wiring job is pretty straight forward. Both wiring diagrams (67-72) & (73-87) are availiable on this website. Just print them out (IN COLOR!)... take 'em both out to the truck with you, and you can put the wires together pretty fast.

Re: Ol Virgil
great job on the box! and I will take the old rockers! lol. love the build so far. due to work mine is still sitting, but Ive got lots of new parts when I do get back to it! your workmanship is great, but I would like to make one small suggestion to you, replace that cab corner on the drivers side completely. Ive been in the trade for 23 years, and everytime I fix a small rust hole in a panel its only a matter of time till it shows uglies again. thanks for the compliments on the box and Ive been inspired by yours to get back to work! awesome to see them brought back!

Sorry to hear that you have to sell the truck, but I understand. I've been in that position before. Good luck.
