Re: 1979 Bagged Stepside from New Zealand

Amazing truck man Hope my stepper can look half as cool as yours someday as I probably won't go into all the crazy engine detail I don't understand all the hate for steppers vs. swb. Personally I love em and everyone around here seems to like em better too. Not that i don't like swb.

ANYWAY I was going with house of color with that secret pearl base but instead went with a different secret pearl base. I am hoping it still turns out sweet. we'll see.

How much you think you have spent getting in in this shape? I love the inner fenders!

X L INT. beautiful work the steel instrument bezel is cool. How common are American vehicles in New Zealand? Know nothing about NZ except "World's Fastest Indian" and "Young Einstein"

Your front inner fenders look so good, makes me want to put mine back in! that's a lot of metal work. awesome job!

no idea mate, i have all the reciepts but have never added them all up, there was over 400 hours in the engine bay of sheetmetal work so that will give you a idea!!

thanks mate, they are pretty common over here its not to hard to import them, not many are as daily drivers though, most stay in sheds and come out for weekend cruising.

Re: 1979 Bagged Stepside from New Zealand

realy a nice truck! and thats the color I had picked out for one of my crew cabs and when I started my iner fenders on my truck your are what I had invisioned

but with a complement comes a nagitive complant

1) Ive been looking at your finished pictures and your 1 build picture and I spent so much time studing them I was late for work!

2) Ive laied awake the last couple nights thinking how I can redo mine. thus making me over sleep and late for work

3)Im now taking today off from work so I can start to rework my iner fenders

4) Im tired of getting my ass chewed on from my boss over your iner fenders

Id like to thank you for setting the bar that much higher and making my life hell

also you got anymore pictures of that engine bay finished or un finished would be great

matt

nothing major.

modified ridetech triangulated 4 link with double adjustable qa1 shocks and firestone bags out rear

custom front control arm uppers, modified standard lowers, slam bags with djm 3" drop spindles.

wilwood brakes all round.

Hope that helps.
