Re: Big Boys of 73-87 K/20,K/30,K32500,and K3500 pictures

Just found another K30 time machine. This one I will refuse to sell, as Im still missing my 87 K30 Dually.

My retirement truck for you to view and in standing, I show it as a contribution to the greatness of the forum members rigs here. There are some very nice rigs on this site and even though i hardly ever post, I read and view here daily.

1986 K30 3+3 in Custom Deluxe trim. Purchased as new by a small volley fire department in Virginia and loved tenderly. It currently has a verified 34,043 miles as it sits in my driveway currently.

Drivetrain is stock 7.4 / SM465 / NP 205 /Dana 60 / C&C 14 bolt

The rig drives like a 1 year old truck, has no squeaks, no rattles and is a veritable time machine.

Fella who purchased her put a CM Industries SS bed on her and she is as she currently sits.

I have components being invoiced through OffRoadDesign for the new 6" suspension and related D60 steering improvements. Also purchased Trailready HD beadlocks in 20 x 10 and Mickey Thompson MTZ Radials in 15.50 x 38 x 20 to make it more proportional tire / wheel wise.

Toyed with the idea if keeping it a lifted dually like my okd rig, but deciding to go the SRW route this time.

Winch will be a necessity so Im recreating the setup on Fred Williams Alabama Army Truck of Dirt Every Day and 4 Wheel & Off Road fame, utilizing a CUCV bumper / grill guard combo with a new 12000lb Warn Zeon.

Trailready brand.... Had'nt heard of them.

Look like old style Method brand

Most of the new rims style I dont care for (Im old school), but those look pretty good. Simple style.

WOW ! 20 inchers !
