Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

Thanks, I have already been thinking on the seat.... Hoping you might hook me up with your guy and he would give me a good deal.
I know you scooped up the rest of that material on the green truck, does he have anything else similar laying around?

Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

And the new low hump going in.....

For those intersted the high humps bolt in for trans removal, I have found several 1963's that have a bolt in low hump.... 1963 is the only year I have found the bolt in low hump. You will still need to change the firewall piece but it is a lot easier with the bolt in low hump, and alot less welding

Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

I decided to take off the passenger door and do some work on it in the garage. After I took off the door I sprayed lube on the hinges and worked them back back and forth, to my suprise the lower pin snapped off in my hand! sure glad it did it with the door off.

I love everything about your truck, man. Glad you are able to enjoy it. I really wish I had my grandfather's old 65 because I would do exactly what you are doing. Keep up the great work!

Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

Well I started on the Big Window Conversion, I started inside and started cutting away the old small window panel so, and then moved to the outside and rough cut the opening for the Big Glass. I did this so I could get to the spot welds better and so I didn't have to drill those around the small glass opening.

I removed a big chunk of metal and then started drilling out the welds on what was left of the small window panel. Once I am done I will test fit the new panel and use panel adhesive across the top and weld the b pillar and across the bottom.

Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

Once that was out I started on the inside. I removed both side pieces and the piece along the bottom, I have to finish removing the top piece. I am going at this slow so I don't distort the headliner piece any. I will test fit the new panel and install it.

OK Sigshooter, show us how it's done. I might try it after all. If I can find a donor.

Don't worry. I have a talent for finding whatever I need. Literally, just about anything. I just let go of a 1963 BBW SWB FS that was $500. I just couldn't take on another project.

I did not see anyone ask about these parts.

I see you took these off, I am interested in them if they are for sale?

If not could you get me a set?
Or
Anyone out there have these for sale?

Let me know, Thanks.
