Re: 67 short fleet resto-mod
Me too. Did you de-thatch before you over-seeded, and was wondering if you mulch or bag?
Oh, and love your truck too. All that work in body prep really paid off.

Re: 67 short fleet resto-mod
Wow, strange tangent we went on here but thanks for compliments on the lawn guys. I pretty much always mulch, only bag when the weeds put out seeds, overseed every couple of years and have never de-thatched but I think I may need to soon. I just water it alot(20 minutes per circuit every night) this time of year. In the pics I had just finished mowing so it looks better than it actually is but thanks none the less.

Re: 67 short fleet resto-mod
Truck looks great! Perfect stance. As for the seats, I like the idea of the tan to break it up a bit, but you would have to add some more of that color elsewhere to tie it in. Maybe a charcoal alcantara insert would be enough differentiation while remaining in your current palette.

Re: 67 short fleet resto-mod
gringo, you read my mind, even though I didnt talk about it I was thinking alcantara for the insert, after your post Im leaning toward black leather bolsters w/ grey perforated alcantara inserts, I figure the grey on the wheels and and the grille inserts would be enough to set it off. What do you think about red stitching to set off the red on the brake calipers and the bowties, too much? Thanks for the input.

Re: 67 short fleet resto-mod
It turned awesome! I think all black would be too dark. My first choice would be all gray or anthracite to match the wheels and be unique.

Re: 67 short fleet resto-mod
That is so beautiful, can I ask what kind of $$ you have into it in just parts, not counting your time.. I am looking to buy a 67 all original long bed for 3gs and I am keeping it all original except for wider tires and wheels

Re: 67 short fleet resto-mod
Nailed the stance, beautiful truck. I'm leaning towards same color scheme so seeing your truck makes it harder. What size tires are you running
