Re: Shorty™

The goal for today is to get the new fuel tanks hung, get the bed back on, and get started on the TBI harness that arrived yesterday.

Re: Shorty™

I like the looks of prostars. Not my favorite rims in the world but they beat the huge wheel contingent. I can't tell the difference between the two either, which I know if I was standing up on it I might. I like the looks of the truck. It is neat.

Re: Shorty™

Looking real good so far. One question. Did you have to do any modifications to get the suburban bumper to fit? I have a very similar ugly step bumper on mine. Suburbans are easy to find around here to get one off of. Thanks.

Re: Shorty™

I used the outer brackets from the Suburban and ran it with those only for a while. However, since I had the bed off, I made a pair of quick 'n dirty filler brackets that fit between the frame and the Suburban center brackets.

Ahhhhh. I don't have the fab skills but I see what you did and have a friend with those skills. Thanks for the pic. That helps me out.

Re: Shorty™

Looks great! Mine is sitting the way yours started, almost identical. I would swing by and buy those drop spindles but I am in Indiana. I have 3" drop springs on the front now and need at least 2" but 3 would be great! Shot me a price on the spindles if you still have them, mine is a 87 half ton.

Re: Shorty™

Harness arrived from Fuel Injection Connection. Let me tell you, Robert is legit. If you ever decided to go TBI, don't hesitate to buy a harness off him. Super sano, and his customer service is outstanding.

Also picked up an eBay billet wheel a few weeks ago. Hated the cheesy Grant that was on it. Took a few minutes and installed it. I dig it.
