Re: pics of lowered trucks with stock steel wheels and caps.
You have to have 73-up six lug steel wheels, the pre-73 wont clear the caliper.

Re: pics of lowered trucks with stock steel wheels and caps.
I have 5 lug and how do I tell the year of wheel? I don't have the calipers on yet and would hate to have no wheels once I get them on...

Re: pics of lowered trucks with stock steel wheels and caps.
Thanks. The truck is lowered 6 1/2" in the front and 5" in the rear. The front are 215/70R15 on stock 15X6" wheels. The rear are 255/70R15 on stock 15X8" wheels. The truck is now 5 lug disc but the original caps fit the 5 lug wheels also.

Re: pics of lowered trucks with stock steel wheels and caps.
They're not rallys Mike. Just plain stock steelies with rally trim rings and moons.

Re: pics of lowered trucks with stock steel wheels and caps.
Inspired by this thread, I ran to the junkyard and bought some steelies (off 89-98 silverados), rattle canned them, and made adapters to hold on the center covers. I'm not lowered yet, but with the current Brother's sale on springs, that is next payday!
Eventually, I will be throwing on some 20s probably... but this certainly looks better than how it was delivered to me - the tires were so flat, they were squares from being strapped onto the flat bed that delivered the truck across the country. I had to have another shortbed though. |
