Re: Tuff Pumpkin Build Thread 72 SWB

I've been working like crazy and haven't had much time for the truck but been acquiring the remaining pieces to the puzzle. Ordered the center section for the rear end, vintage air, master cylinder, exhaust, and a bunch of little stuff. I hope to get a little time to take pics and get the rest completed. Here's a little sneak peek.

Oh. And I asked if my dad would finally make me a little something for the truck... Custom Missouri walnut bed.

Be sure to register your VA kit to activate the warranty ,I did not and got a bad unit and they would not stand behind it because I did not register it .

Started doing some powder coating on suspension this week. It's turning out awesome. Going to look sick when it's done.

Lookin so sweet man. I'm just getting started on my 72 lwb overhaul. I dont plan on such a radical build but I do plan on a new LT 5.3 /6L80E and a decent 4/6 drop. I'm local so I hope to see you around.

Awesome!!! I hope to be on the road in a couple months but we have a lot of work ahead of us. Keep following the build and you'll know when I get her going.

Re: Tuff Pumpkin Build Thread 72 SWB

Fabricated brackets for the tank and installed it last night. I am not sure what happened but there was some sort of wild chemical reaction with the powder coat on the Boyd tank and the cleaner I used to wipe it down with. I only sprayed part of the tank but it severely discolored the finish. I'll try to get a better photo later today. Here is where I left her last night. Coming along nicely. We hope to have the rear end fabricated up later today and start measuring for axels. I ordered the rear coil overs from Viking this morning as well as all of the pieces for the fron accessories drive. I already had the dirty dingo kit but needed the PS and alt to bolt it up.

Re: Tuff Pumpkin Build Thread 72 SWB

They look great, kit was easy to install, and there are good direction on the web site. Had a couple of questions and Tony was awesome to deal with. Dirty Dingo Highly recommended in my book!!! I also have the sliding motor mounts and loved them too.
