Re: My Facetruck thread.

A blonde got lost in her car in a snow storm. She remembered what her dad had once told her. "If you ever get stuck in a snow storm, wait for a snow plow and follow it."

Pretty soon a snow plow came by, and she started to follow it. She followed the plow for about forty five minutes. Finally the driver of the truck got out and asked her what she was doing. She explained that her dad had told her if she ever got stuck in the snow, to follow a plow.

The driver nodded and said, "Well, I'm done at Walmart. Do you want to follow me over to Target."

I won't drink buttermilk, but eat sour cream by the spoonful.

Get this. I'm a native Arkansas hillbilly, and I won't eat chicken and dumplings.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I remember as a little tyke in the north western corner of Virginia having big sit down dinners with extended family including great aunts, uncles, and cousins. The table was set with all the normal fare, corn, potatoes, beans, chicken, squirrel, beets, cuts of beef and pork, and everything you would imagine from a country setting. Everybody had some of everything except my great Aunt Lucy had a bowl of "walnuts" in front of her. I asked mom why Aunt Lucy was eating "walnuts". Mom told me they weren't nuts they were squirrel skulls. Aunt Lucy would crack them with a nut cracker and spoon out the brains. She invited me to try them. "No ma'am, thank you, but I don't think so." That was 70 years ago, and I haven't changed my mind.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Ah, the Sunday dinner in the country. You eat supper all week but come Sunday about 3 it's time for family dinner.

We have restaurants that serve "family style" meals. You order your choice of meat and the rest is set out on the table to share. Green beans, mashed potatoes, chow-chow, cottage cheese & apple butter, cole slaw, rolls & butter (yeah butter), and more. All that they will keep bringing out. If you want more meat you just pay a little more. They say "No one leaves hungry"

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Yesterday morning I bought two six packs of beer on sale at the Liquor Store.
I placed them on the front seat of the car and headed back home.
*
I stopped at the service station where a drop-dead gorgeous, almost blonde was filling up her car at the next pump.
*
It was very warm and she was wearing tight shorts and a light top which was wide open.
She glanced at the beer, bent over and knocked on my passenger window.
*
Almost falling out of her skimpy top she said, in a sexy voice,
“I'm a big believer in barter, old fellow, would you be interested in trading sex for beer?"*

I thought for a few seconds and asked,
"What kind of beer you got?"
*

Re: My Facetruck thread.

OK, I'll play along. Yesterday morning, I put new rims and tires on my daughters Jeep. Her tires were looking pretty bad so I decided it was time for an upgrade. When I finished I wanted to get it washed so it was clean when she got home from school.
I went to our local car wash (A.K.A.- Auto Bell) to get it cleaned up because, to be honest, I was tired and didn't want to mess with it. I had just gotten off work (3rd shift) and it was almost lunch time. Figured I'd be in and out in 10 minutes.
So, the Jeep rolled through the wash and when it popped out the other side, an employee moved it around to dry it off. I walked outside and struck up a conversation with an elderly man waiting on his Cadillac.
When the girl finished drying the Jeep, she called out for the Jeep owner. I walked over and noticed she seemed concerned and was looking for something. She said "Do you have your keys?" - "Um, no... someone pulled it over here" She went and asked around and could not find my keys. In fact, nobody knew who pulled it over. In fact, I got a little agitated because they went back to work drying other cars. I went over and tracked her down and sorta made a scene. That got the search back on track and I even involved the manager. She said she was afraid she left my keys in the truck that was in front of me. And OF COURSE, at this point, it was long gone.
My patience were wearing thin, so another patron figured out what was going on and said they knew the woman. They called her and sure enough, she found my keys in her truck.

Unbelievable. What are the odds? Thousands of people roll through there everyday and in most cases, my keys would've been LONG gone. They called her and I sat and waited about 20 minutes for her to get back. I got a free car wash pass for my trouble. I was aggravated but relieved to get them back.
