Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build
Lots of great work here. Like the exhaust. Gives me a goal on how I will have mine routed

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build
Got the bed and hood in place for final mock up. So far so good. A few more items to fabricate in the cab then time for body work and some paint.

You are doing a great job and don't let setbacks discourage you,
it will be a great truck.

Did spray out test of the flat gray single stage. Looks good. Gonna paint the rest of the interior and inner side of the doors this week.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build
When you sprayed your interior, it looks like epoxy went on all surfaces. After that, did you spray the floor/ front of cab under the dash and the dash/back of cab/roof in different paints? Meaning, did you spray something different on areas that would not be seen or covered vs areas that you will see? Hope that question makes sense.

Only reason for the two primers is U-Pol takes less time for substrate prep and my buddy wanted to try out the Raptor epoxy. Used the good stuff in areas that will be painted. Hope that helps. Troy. |

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build
Looks great. Hoping to get close to this in a month or so on my 63 cab. I am planning on going back to Fawn with mine, but the grey is a nice contrast.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build
Got another question. How did you color match your blue? my plan is to fix patches like you did but not paint the entire cab this go around. Mine is a factory red truck and the colors range from very orange to still close to red. If I want to put color on my repairs, I would like to see if I can blend it like you did. But, if I got to the paint store and give them my paint code, I would image the red they sell me wouldn't match the faded red on my truck.

Re: Father/Son/Friend 63 C10 Build
A few updates. Cab is now mounted to the frame foe the indefinite future. Started assembling front sheet metal and also started on the patina work for the inside of the bed panels. Lastly, we picked up some 4/4 cherry to mill for the bed wood. All that's left is EVERYTHING!!
