Re: Lola: My Moon Shot 70 SWB K10

Thanks all.

LT, I must say it has been tempting to upgrade the intake for something better looking. But the torque specs on this one are impressive. If it hadn't come out the way it did, I may have swapped it.

Noted as well on the diff covers. I plan to install a temp sensor in the rear to keep an eye on it.

Still, a long way to go.

More progress....final weld and repair of original gas tank hole in cab. Working on the new fuel filling location, rear light.

And...I'm adding Altman latches to make the doors easier! Going to weld rather than bolt in to look as factory as possible.

I'm in! I've always wondered how that would work welding in the Altman Latches. I plan to do the same thing to mine.

Re: Lola: My Moon Shot 70 SWB K10

I...am...still...grinding....slowly but surely.

More good news...front cab corners are done, still working the back, replacing the radio face, taillight, and touch-up work on bed front and tailgate. The horrible speaker holes the previous owner cut have been re-filled and added a shoulder seat belt apparatus with the bolt itself mounted flush to look original. Little details are worth it but take time. Also adding Por 15 to the back of said sections for added protection, although if this thing gets caught in so much as a rainstorm I'll be surprised.

Also, the tail light fuel filler is welded in. Fitting hood in front as well with new gas hinges. Still so much more to do...

Nice choice for a new ride Rowdy! I haven't checked in on your build in a while. You've made a ton of progress... and very nice quality work too! Absolutely beautiful.

Re: Lola: My Moon Shot 70 SWB K10

Hit the local car show (literally a walk from my house) this evening. Well-represented rides and had a blast getting to know some of the owners!

Re: Lola: My Moon Shot 70 SWB K10

And yes...I'm still making progress! Priming and blocking started on the cab! Is this the slowest build in history? Feels that way to me...but we are moving.
