Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
That looks awesome. You have the eye for detail for sure. I want to see it pushing a Race Car.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Thanks, I was thinking of the truck a fueler guy would have built for personal use back in the day. Trucks like the ones in the back ground where my inspiration (plus its an on going joke in my friends group that the wrong bed was the ultimate photo bomber as it seamed like orange and white was the thing.)

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Upon driving had the new mechanical pump quit so went electric. Dead headed it for now building a return system once the drag cars fixed.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Looks killer. Nothing wrong with a good old Holley blue pump. Back in the late eighties I had the exact pump and filter setup on mine. I had one on each side though. One was for the motor the other was for the two nitrous systems I had.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Your truck looks great and would look right in time with pushing those Fuel Altered's from back in the day. When they were real FA's and not a body on a longer funny car frame.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Is that a steel overflow tank with a pressure cap (near the battery)? Do you have details on the setup? Thanks.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Its been a bit since I've posted but in that time we put a return style fuel system in. We have also run the truck about 1800 miles sold the Fairlane project and hauled home 71 cb350 with it but all and all its been a great summer and now with fall the here the new engine is loving the cooler weather.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Been doing a lot on the truck over the past few months. In that time I blew the 4 speed and scored an m21 with m22 guts! pulled out the dual point and swapped to a Chrysler pick up style electric to trigger the msd. Redid the rear shock mounts and putting in some qa1's. Added door speakers with rad vintage covers plus added blue tooth to the 8 track deck. plus a lot of driving. replacing the drive shaft is next with a one piece. I hope to track down a factory style maroon cover too to complete the interior. then a new rear bumper.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Try hauling that car in a short box. Hard for me to make it out, Anglia or Pop maybe?

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Between the extreme heat and starting my own business its been a busy summer. But I managed to track down an original similarly patina chrome bumper. Hid the hitch under the license plate that folds. I have managed to use the truck a bunch including for shipping out orders. Plus adding some QA1 adjustable rear shocks.
