Re: Die-cast 67-72

I have been slowing down on my buying of these little treasures. I don't go out of my way anymore but if I happen to spot one I pick it up. I saw a nice Vega on a rollback also but didn't get it, should have I guess.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I`m really casual about collecting right now, too. If a new diecast comes out and I like it I`ll buy one or two.I have one of the Boondockers and am happy with it.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I think Wal-mart has done this to all there stores. Our's are very few pegs and most are just the everyday stuff nothing to look at for me. I think they got tired of having to straighten them up every hour when people would throw them every where.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

For The model builders in our group here is a part that im sure you all have wanted cause I know I have. I was tired of building the 67-72 chevy GMC model kit with bucket seats all the time so I fixed that problem and now have the interior corrected in resin. New floor and back wall. Bucket seats are fixed (bench seat may be done by this week). Here are some pictures. Sorry for the bad quality. Time for a new camera

Have you done a 72 interior also? The 1 pic looks like a 67-71 door panel...

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Does anyone know what colors were available for the 1969 Highway 61 diecast trucks? From what I've been able to find on the net they offered:

Red
Yellow
Red/White

Anyone know if they offered it in white/green (sea green or turquoisey color)?

There is an olive green one, a black one, and a 67 version that is kinda burgundy.

Thats funny as I was also watching that model kit. Thought about bidding but Im just going to make a mold of the one I already have. I did manage to win a 1972 GMC Grand Serria model kit that was built but will be an easy restoration.

special-K,
You don't have nothing better to do than play with toys in the snow!
Those are a little blurry.

By the way anybody interested in one of these?
Just the body. No wheels. I have a brand new one that's still in the plastic with all the decals.
I'll take $30.00 shipped. This is the same amount it cost me. LMK

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I went to a local hangout tonight and went to the swap area and found five 1/64th scale chevy trucks. I dont know if they are rare but I had never seen them around here so I thought I would buy them all. Also here is a pict of one of my boxes full of hot wheels I opened to triple check to see if I had any other trucks and found about twelve or so.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

They`re hard to resist,as long as they stay cheap. That Treasure Hunt one is supposed to br rare, but they must have made alot of them.As soon as these come out they are all over Ebay, somehow.
It`s time for something new in diecast!!!

Those Ertl Chevy Titans were from factory. That one was a private label, produced by someone who got the "heartbeat" licensing. You`ll see the`50 panels as well as other imptints on other Ertls, like the little`50 COE semi. The cat carrier makes a great 1/24th display item.
