So, I will remove the drivers fender and inner, spray with epoxy primer, do body work, spray with sandable primer, reinstall everything. Give it a good shake down run and drive it to the event. Then after that I will tear it back apart, clean up everything, and start getting it ready for paint. Soooo hopefully I will have some more to post soon...Jim

Pic #2. Back of front fender ready for epoxy.

Pic #3. back of inner sprayed in epoxy

At this point I can get the pieces ready to flip over and mount to the stands so I can shoot the front sides.

Coming out very nice Jim. Do you have a guess on the hours spent block sanding?

For these batch of pics, Mark has around 6 hrs or so, I did about 2 hrs. I'm hoping I can get time this week and block some more, then maybe one more prime to finish...Jim

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Just so you Guy's know the 6hrs was not all sanding hrs that was prime, filler sand prep and prime again.
The same thing went on yesterday everything looks pretty good I will block it today with 180 and do a final prime and then we can assemble for the Nats.

Pic #1.This was just after blocking and I had to put some polly filler in several areas and block again.

Pic #2. Polly filler

Pic #3. Upper splash panel/radiator cover
I then sprayed all with the 202 again last night and will block today and shoot the final primer.

Mark

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build

Hey Guy's No pics today (same stuff as yesterday) All the pieces were sanded with 180 grit and the final primer was sprayed yesterday afternoon and now we can put things back together.
Will get some shots as that takes place.

Mark

Kees, Yes and No on end is near. I'm sure Mark and I could have everything together in a few hours, and then just wiring lights, etc. But I'm also doing some changes for the fuel injection. My current distributor doesn't play well with the computor, I was told because I have a ballast resistor in my coil set-up it gets false readings. So I purchased what that recommended, a Summit Ready to Run distributor and coil.

Mark and I removed the top and seat, so I can get to the coil, which is under my dash, remove it and install the new one and hook up wires. I will also get my engine to TDC, remove the old dist. and install the new, and then retime everything. I just need someplace where I have room and time to do things the way I want. Been busy helping other people, need to stop this for awhile...Jim
