Awesome. What size tires do you have? I'm currently working on a 5/7 drop right now on mine!

Does anyone make a steelie type 5 on 5 wheel that will accept dog dish hubcaps in 17" or 18"? I know about Delmo and Mobsteel but were hoping for more traditional looking.

I had mine powdercoated white. I got an original roof rack on it at the beginning of the summer. We picked up our Christmas trees in it on Friday.

traded some ammo for these

to go from dangerously rusted snap rings

to something a little safer and still factory looking

just waiting to finish cleaning up the interior to get her back on the road and I'll order the farm skinny tires for it

Do your original ones have the clips on them?

yep, and still holding air on 30+ year old tires

trouble is a lot of deep pitted rust in the rings, grooves, everywhere..

concerned about the severe metal loss and weakening due to all of the rust..

still have them behind the garage.. might try to clean them up and re-examine eventually..

maybe before I buy the tires for it since the snap rings are 8 lug 15"

the one pictured above are 16.5 and came with 1 year old firestone commercial tires..

seller had just replaced tires year before truck engine died and went to salvage..

thankfully he kept his wheels and new tires..

If you are interested in selling them PM me. I know this is not a for sale ad.

15x7 FRONT 15x8 REAR 265/75/R15 COOPER ( I bought tires for beach rides, but since I cleaned up the truck I don't beach it much ) stock suspension, WHEEL VINTUQE RALLYS--Thought I was getting NUBBED rims so I could use stock dog dish caps! Settled on these stainless caps-had to drill out centers for front hubs-going back to NUBBED rims next set of tires! I enjoyed looking at all the different looks posted here! 3.5 backspace I wonder why my 69 4x4 has C/10 badging when its a K/10 ? ORIGNAL owner! HAPPY TRAILS

Yes it's a long bed.

Fronts are 31x10.50 15, rears are 31x11.50 15. Planning 275/60 15 in the front to give it more of the hot rod look.

Its a 3/4 - drop springs front / 3" springs with 1" blocks rear. CPP kit with the shocks, relocators, panhard bar, it was a nice easy install.

I plan on 2" spindles and another inch on the rear block someday. The rears have a 1 1/2" bolt on spacer to get the rear wheels looking right.

These are just standard Chevy Caps. I need GMC but might put a set of late 50's impala caps on them since they only have the flags and no brand ID. I had some on a camaro back in the day and they looked good.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

This is a bit of a hijack but it fits the subject at hand. I have been researching GM 22" transit wheels and have some question specific to folks running them on these trucks.

1) What size tires are you running on them?

2) What suspension drops are you running with them?

3) Where you able to retain your inner fenders?

Some detailed pics would be greatly appreciated!

Nice rig! What suspension are you running? I would like mine to sit like that with the tires even to slightly tucked to the fender wells.

Thanks. Right now it's dropped 3/5 with springs but by spring it'll be 2" lower all around. Just to lose the gap.

Do you foresee any clearance issues with the inner fenders? You're going exactly where I want to.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

Hey mah peeps
We're runnin 15x8's with 295/50's out back
Right now the frts r 215/60. Probably going to change up to a 255/60 for summer. Match the height a bit better.
Soon we're going to swap out the rear coils with some 99 tj's
And cut the frts a turn and a half..
