Re: My '51 Project
Thanks!
I don't know about the visor, A friend of mine said ,"It depends what you're going for, a Hot Rod shouldn't have one but on an Old School Stock Truck , it looks good!"

Re: My '51 Project
I took the visor off , don't think I'll run it unless I go to a show.
got a problem Rear end guy says it's the tranny tranny guy says it's the rear end it's a noise that gets louder with speed, but goes away in neutral, or when I let off. May do both just to be sure.

Re: My '51 Project
truck looks killer dude! the viser with the licence plate frame, bumper guards and the SS chevelle wheels work. those wheels only look right on a handfull of vehicles and yours is one of them.

Re: My '51 Project
Thanks 55 dude!
The steel rally wheels kind of reveal my age (45 yesterday) I always liked them, not really into 22's on billet.

Re: My '51 Project
This is the ride height I'm happy with, does speed bumps and the driveway. Most anything I hit. Would of been a lot less expensive just to set it this low, but you can't beat layin' it on the ground. It doesn't get lower than that.

It all depends on your tire size and the gears your running. Check out this link. http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Tech...eedo_gears.asp

Re: My '51 Project
Steve, Man that thing looks great. I love the stance, I was trying to talk dad into doing that with his truck but he doesn't like the air bag thing. But I am building it with his money so am doing what I am told to do.
I was reading back through you thread and Happy Birthday. My oldest sons birthday is the 8th. Also 45 isn't that bad...just getting started. I turned 45 in Sept and been having fun. Bernie |

Re: My '51 Project
How do you like that 4link setup with the bags? Now that you have them is there anything you would do different?

Re: My '51 Project
awesome looking truck here. Do you have any specifics on the front suspension parts you bought? I'm new to the Mustang II setup, so I'm not sure if there are kits specifically made for a bagged setup or not? Were you able to buy a complete kit for the front end or did you have to piece it together?
Assuming you used the internet to source your parts, any links you have will help. Also, what did you use for motor mounts? any specifics on the placement? Also, any issues with the transmission ground clearance? I assume you had to raise the tranny and tunnel the cab. |

Re: My '51 Project
I just read this entire psot.. love the truck and the build, i would love to see what the c notch looked like when you finished it.. Did you just notch the frame or did you cut it and installed the big C?
The truck to me looks 100 times better without the visor.. I too was like you , love fooliing with beetles but now i am onto my 53 that I will have on th eground...
