Re: Your 60-66 bagged projects?

Here's some pics of what I've done on my 66. The front end is basically done now just have to finish mounting the rack. The front is on RE7 bags with unmodified Suicide Doors bag brackets. I've also dropped the front crossmember 5" up over the frame rails and added rack & pinion steering. I set the front clip on it today to see exactly where I'm at and it sits on the inner fenders with 28" tire. I can get another 2" drop by cutting down the lower bag cups to 1.5" and this is still on stock spindles. With the front sheet metal in place it looks really really clean under the hood since the frame rails are still down low in the factory spot instead of being raised like with a Z.

The motor also raised 5" and is working out better than I thought. I notched the firewall for distributor clearance and am raising the tunnel now.

Re: Your 60-66 bagged projects?

Heres mine. I paid $1500 for it the way you see it right now. In April I'm gonna drop about 6G's in it so it will look diffrent. I'll do a build thread when I can. Sorry this is the only pic I have of it now! I ordered a SD raised crossmemeber and their control arms. gonna make it lay rockers with the stock trailing arms I hope.

These are the only other pics I have saved. When I talked to the guy he was telling me he recked his 2000 ford single cab deisil. So he used everything from that. The front end was a straight axle with the bags on the bars to lift high enough to clear the 26's!

Re: Your 60-66 bagged projects?

Wishbone suspension out back all custom built in my home garage. Z'ed the front end three inches with belltech lowering springs for now, I'm gonna drive it like it is for the rest of the summer then bag the front in the winter. I still need to figure out how the make the steering work when I put the bags up front. Any suggestions.
