Also, is there a Rick Vance here that might have paid for a DVD? I did not get a screen name with payment, so i can't fiure out who you are and if the payment was for this. PM me please.

OK folks, all the DVD's are in the mail, you should be getting them shortly.

Thanks to all those who went in on this...made it much more feasible to do this, and we all get something in return. I only wish the quality was better, but what can you expect from 35+ year old reels and equipment that really can't convert this odd film format to begin with.

Enjoy, let me know what you think.

Re: Who wants to see 1973 dealer/promo DVD's?

Recived mine today. I just watched a little bit of it so far and wow what a great pice of history this is.
Just to watch the secnes that they shot with the truck driving around town and you see all the early 70's and 60's era cars driving around town its awsome. You are right about one thing the film does show its age but so far I am enjoying it totally worth the money.
Thanks Jeff for your time and energy in doing this.

My fravorite line so far out of it was when the guy was talking about the new for 73 BIG DOOLEY with its thrifty 454.

Glad you liked the DVD!

Has anyone else received or had a chance to watch theirs yet? I'd love to hear your opinion of it.

Re: Who wants to see 1973 dealer/promo DVD's?

Just finished watching most of it, and like Boat said, takes me back to when I was younger and still remember how things were back then. If we only knew the value things would have, ... It's nice to reminisce

Thanks again, totally worth it to sneak a peek back in time.

Recieved mine Thursday afternoon Jeff! I really enjoyed the 4x4 part of it! That orange and white 4x4 looked like one that I had back in the mid 80's! That sure brought back some good memories!

I really liked the comparison to the Furd truck. I wonder if they still do complete teardowns of their truck vs the competition today. The road test behind the Corvette was really cool as well. Comparing the 1972 vs 1973 following the Corvette through the road course was something to see too! All in all....GREAT videos, even though they show their age!

They were DEFINATELY worth saving from being lost forever! Great job on this Jeff! Thanks again for all your effort that went into this and for including all of us into it! ...Joe

Re: Who wants to see 1973 dealer/promo DVD's?

Thanks for your time on this Jeff . I enjoyed the DVD. Will be in on the others if they come to be . Just let me know . I found some real interesting info on there like the fact that my 73 Super apparently had the factory tailpipe installed . I looked for it in the video and the design was exact . I also liked all of the rear Sport Bumpers .

Re: Who wants to see 1973 dealer/promo DVD's?

I am glad you guys were all pleased! It makes it all worth it in the end.

If you guys want to convert Joes '79 set, and if Joe is OK with it of course, I will do what I can do on my end to make it happen.

His should turn out better than mine, my set was in rough shape.

Re: Who wants to see 1973 dealer/promo DVD's?

I'm waiting to see what comes of it, but I bought the correct player on Ebay last week. It isn't working but I'm hoping I can fix it. I'll be able to take a look this Friday when it shows up.

If anyone cares, the player that plays the Mini Theater tapes is a Technicolor 1000 (1200 and 1300 should also work).

I'd like to hold off on the conversion until we see if this works. If it does, I think a digital movie camera might be all we need to see the 79 tapes. Let's cross our fingers.

Re: Who wants to see 1973 dealer/promo DVD's?

Sounds like a better idea to me Joe!

How much did the player set you back? The way I look at it, we can all chip in to get the '79 DVD, and you can recoup the cost of your player at the same time.

I REALLY wanted that mini-theatre you sent me a link of (with stand, sign, player and tapes), but it was far away and the seller removed the listing early. THAT would have been sweet!

Re: Who wants to see 1973 dealer/promo DVD's?

Player came today. It worked right out of the box. I think the seller didn't have any of the tapes and it must need them to turn on.

How should we get the picture on my wall (with sound) onto DVDs now?

Here's a pic. I put the Luv tape in first in case it ate it...
