I put 4" lift on for these slots and tires. Tires are bad, so put 255/85-16s I had on and will be doing 285/75-16s later. So, could have gone 2" and been fine. It will still look good, and I'll end up buying another set of 16.5s for the wide rims

Been a long time since I've been on here. Made some changes to the truck after I broke the D44/12bolt. D60 from a CUCV and 14 bolt from a van(to get wider wheel spacing) is in it now.

I shut my eyes and envisioned what you describe. Have a pretty good picture, but not sure what body style, color, amount of lift, tire/wheel size I'm supposed to be seeing. You don't happen to have a picture, do ya?
