Re: Slow go
sounds good....we love pics Keep at it...get the main things done then get it on the road as cheaply (while being safe) as you can and enjoy it for a bit. Save up money, find parts you need when you find a good deal on them, and replace one at a time....many tear them apart and end up losing interest....

Re: Slow go
what the hell!!!! don't trade that keep it going man you made a lot of progress. im a 16 year old with a 72 4x4 that i thought was all lost till one day i got parts now its in the garage not street legal but it made progress.when you sell it you will really realize how much you liked it. don't let other deals get you happy on other vehicles.

Re: Slow go
Here's a couple thoughts:
1) Look for a local car/truck club & see if you can solicit some welding help. 2) Night classes for MIG at Comm College can be cheap & maybe your instructor will let you bring in a piece or two. 3) Seriously consider the cheap MIG - you'll get your $$ out of it in a year or two easily. Don't get TOO hooked on a 67 fender - 68 might be easier to find & you can fill the side marker with your new welder. Swap meets are a great place to find them. Keep up the good work - you'll be really glad you did. My first car (in 1980) was a 52 Bel Air that my dad fixed up for me & you can't believe how much fun that was to drive. My mom said everyone honked at her the few times she drove it - cuz they thought it was me coming down the road - LOL. GOOD BUILD!! Thanks for inspiring ME again!!

Re: Slow go
I just want you to know that you've inspired me to get working on the '72 Burb that's been sitting in my drive for about a year now. Got it off the net & was a little more than disappointed when it got here. She has some major cancer issues in the front floor pans, front braces, driver rocker, and face of the step-up to the rear floor. The floor pan also has a million holes from previous owners installing different seats through the years. Think I'll weld the holes up first & then start tackling the rust.
I truly wish you were closer so we could do some welding on your truck!! Thanks for getting me pumped up!!

Hey from N.C. keep pictures coming and keep up the hard work, you are keeping a chevy from being scrap metal. it takes a alot care and hard work, but at the end the rewards of the hard work shows keep on truckin'
