Re: 69 c-10 swb

I put on some new PML valve covers, sanderson coated headers, and ran the plug wires underneath.

Re: 69 c-10 swb

I also got my a/c, heater hoses ran and the a/c charged.
When I filled the firewall I put my bulkhead for the a/c-heater hoses as far to the right side as I could, so I could hide my hoses under the pass fender.

Re: 69 c-10 swb

I never liked the seat covers I originally had on the buddy buckets, so I changed them to these.

Thanks for the compliments. If you decide you want some pml covers, I can save you a little bit of $$ on them.

Love the truck, nice job! The color is awesome! I don't know how you guys get through the body work part of it. All the rest is fun for me, but I can't even make myself think about doing any body work. But, looking at the result you got, looks like all the time and effort was well worth it!

I have been eyeing the PML covers, any way you can save me some money on them? Do you run that little "hidden" breather they sell, and does it work well without making a mess?

Again, beautiful truck!

Yes, I can save you some money on the covers..

I just have the pcv hole and grommet in one of my covers and it works fine.

Thanks for the compliments on the truck.

Thank you very much..I cant take ALL the credit, I had the help of a couple of good friends along the way.

The a/c is a vintage air brand gen 2 system. I actually bought it several years back for another project and never used it until now. I used a street rod style bulhead and a G.M compressor.

3.42 gears, yes it has a th700 trans with a shift kit and corvette servo, The engine is stock besides the headers, and a fastchip ecm, I bumped the timing up a couple of degrees and thats it. It runs pretty good for what it is.

my last few cars I built were big cubic inch, street/strip cars that run high 9 second 1/4 mile times. without any power adders and a single 4bbl carb. So after driving those type of cars around, this truck seems like a turd !! LOL

I really enjoy getting in the truck and being able to drive it anywhere and get 18 mpg with the a/c blowing.

well, mine sounds almost exactly the same , i do have an Edelbrock intake and the Holley TBI, and 3.73 gears, i am interested to see how it will run and drive, i think i will be happy , mainly looking for dependability but i dont want it to be gutless either..maybe 100 shot of NOS, LOL

I really wish I would have went with 3.73 gears, with the big diameter 295/40/20 rear tires. I think you will be happy with 3.73 and your engine setup.

Hers a pic of my old 68 ss 396 camaro I built 6-7 years ago. it was an original ss 396/ L-78 375 h.p car sold new in Tulsa,Ok. It was turned into a race car when it was a few months old.
The car sat in a buddy of mines garage for over 20 years missing the original drivetrain and having less than 4k actual miles.

He finally sold it me after years of me pestering him. I started with a ZERO rust 68 camaro and only a couple of dings to fix. I painted it its original colors and stripes and installed a 840 H.P. big block and a built turbo 350 trans, I left the dana 60 rear end that was installed in the early 70's and 6 point roll bar.

The car was driven often and could cruise down the interstate easily with its 3.50 gear. Its best 1/4 mile time was a 9.87 @ 144mph. no power adders, and a single 4bbl carb.

I never thought I would sell it until someone wanted it more than I did and offered alot of $$$ for it.. I do miss it dearly and thought I would share this and a few pics of it

Wow! what a nice build. Good call on the seats, the old setupwas a little too busy. I am a huge fan of the color. In fact, it's the same color I am planning on using on my shortbox.
