The progress is going slower than I would like but we all no the balancing act with work and family. I have the front and rear brakes complete and started back on the body work. Sand blasted and powder coating all of my small parts. The hood hinges, bumper brackets and pedal assembly. THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENTS!!

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Thanks! I am powder coating and blasting everything that I can fit in my "Harbor freight" sand blaster (paid $89 new) and my "Craigslist" oven (paid $100 used). The Gun you can pick up from Harbor Freight for around $70. Its less expensive than paint and comes out really nice.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Nice little set up! Thanks for the pictures. I had been contemplating doing the same thing, I was looking at the Eastwood kit but for the price I will go with the Harbour Freight gun.

not much help as far as shifter position, but I came across a fellow who used a 4wd floor pan to give the 6 speed proper clearance. Ill re-post if I ever find the link.

67Cheby, That looks like an easy cure.. Did the high hump come in a certain year or transmission option? Thanks for the help!

Until last weekend I had an extra one I would have given you. I just put it into my 67. They aren't too hard to find and tend to run around $40 to $60 in good shape when I have seen them for sale. A square body truck piece is a whole lot easier to find and fits pretty close but the back end doesn't match up and the lower corners of the front are mismatched a little. With a little fab work you could make one fit if you have a hard time finding a good 67-72 piece.
