Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
Thank You!
Did it just for you. Rolled it Out Today! Well although not to much looks different I managed to do quite a bit today. I Put the doors back on and then mounted the front clip. I had bought some new hood hinges a while before I bought this truck and decided to use them thinking that I remembered them working well on my old truck. I was wrong. I could not get the hood lined up one bit. It just kept getting worse and worse. So I put the GM ones back on and well you can see the photos of how well it went off. I also rolled the truck out of the garage and the C20 frame into the garage which is pretty hard by your self. I then had to cover up the bare metal from the chop down. The close up photo is of the best seam and has no filler on it. I think it looks good. PS I sprayed the orange fender with primer, It was to distracting.

Yeah I did luck out with a pretty clean body but the camera hides a lot of stuff. You would be surprised.

[QUOTE=mr.chevy;4851708]Thanks, Yeah its a new process 833 If I remember right, with an overdrive. Should make it drive nicer than the stock LOW gear trans.
Thanks, I am wanting to change my 3 speed out too. What did you get the tranny out of?

No Problem. Actually I believe it came out of an early 80s 2 wheel drive Chevy Diesel. When I got it on a local classified ad it was already out. The problem with these transmissions are that they have a special bell housing. So if you get one then you need to make sure the bell housing is coming with it. I had to hunt for months for mine. Really its a lot like a muscle car trans. Also if you set out looking for one the steel case is the one that you want. Not the aluminum one. The steel one I guess is really tough but not the aluminum one. I would just do a Google search on it see what you can find. The Price was right, I believe including the bell housing I am into mine 150 Bucks, and that's not bad. Did a search and found the article I read before I bought mine http://www.classicjunkyard.com/new_process_a833.htm

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
Thanks everyone for your comments and compliments. So this is when I say I have done nothing this last month or so. But the good news is that I cleaned up my shop, that always gets me excited. I need to get the other frame cut down so i can get the rest of the body in the shop for the winter and start working.
Thanks again.

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.
Just pop a few pills and get back to it! I know you can! I don't want the next post I read saying something like this "Well guys I didn't get the shop cleaned out enough to bring my truck inside for winter and now it is covered up by all the snow". LOL
