Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
Got my bed put back on the other day, sold my headers and ordered a finned carb hat with elbow and filter from classicinlines. I opted for the larger cone filter over the smaller one. I think it will look nice...and hopefully the carb hat will be useful if I ever decide to go turbo one day

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
That's interesting I've never seen a carb hat that looked like that. Pretty neat. Now you need a turbo to go with it....lol.

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
Thanks rusty... It might be undersized for air requirments of a turbo application..who knows? It will be a while before I even seriously contemplate that, although I dream about it all the time

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
Should have posted this the other day. Snapped a picture of my in process bed lowering job. I was a nervous wreck but it went back on without a hitch.
And the new stance with the 2" blocks in the back. Looks better leveled out to me. |

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
Just stepped outside to let the dog out and carb hat was on the door mat. Had to stick it on to see how it looks.

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
It would be impossible for me to resist setting up some sort of cold air induction with that carb set up you have!!
I like it

Looks really awesome! Nice pick! Now you'll have a cold air intake.

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
According to KroAutomotive, when he did a cold air intake on his 230 inline 6 he said it pulled onto the highway much better. A cold air intake will allow a denser mixture.

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
hahah you guys are too much! For now the plan is to drive it while I get the 3 speed w/ overdrive sorted out then put that in. I'll probably run the stock 250 for as long as I can and then I think I would seriously consider the turbo build.

I picked up some 15x8 stock steel wheels off a cucv Blazer today. Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, but I couldn't pass them up. Wish I had some tires to put on them...just don't think my white walls could handle that much of a stretch |

Re: The Egg Hauler.... not much of a build
Snagged a pic of the new wheels.
Funny how when I had my lifted 4Runner on 32s the tires looked so small. Now the 31s on these wheels look giant beside my truck |
