gotta a ton of work done this weekend. Gotta thank my friend Neil for all the help. wire wheeled and wire brushed the frame. used kbs coating products. used the degreaser 50/50 mixed with hot water. scrubbed it on frame with scotchbrite pads, then rinsed and let dry. then used metal etcher with scotchbrite. Painted. Right now its 24hrs dry. Tried kbs instead of por15. Not a big fan. Won't be buying it again. Seems to hold up well, but the finish is awful. Can't tell from pics. No problems with por15 before, and I even prepped better with this stuff than i ever did with por. By the way this was the satin black can, as you can see it turns out glossy. Still have to finish scuffing and top coating. Then I'm onto fixing the firewall and heater core that i manhandled and broke the fitting off.

Dammm thats one hell of a motor for that truck, I would be tempted to throw it in a muscle car haha. Should scoot pretty good with that.

scuffed the kbs and top coated with vht chassis and rollbar paint. satin black. still need to dry a bit. the pics are 10 min after last coat. itll "dull" a hair more

headers came in. since no one could help much with header selection, I went with the set one guy was running currently. they are hooker 2455 / 2455-1 / 2455-1HKR . They dont look to be kinda artwork, the finish seems a bit "halfass". Nonetheless if they work fine for such a cheap price i dont care. They have 2" primaries and 3.5" collectors

painted the firewall, finished the ac delete. New heatercore, blower motor and heater box. Dropped in the engine and trans this weekend. Bought the cu-70013 griffin radiator and tci shifter.

Mounted my gauges and plumped them. Cleaning up wiring and running wires to roughy where they will be going. Got my headers pushed up to block, still need to mount them. Also found a couple more pics from when i dropped in the engine.

Headers seem like they are going to fit with very minor adjustments. They are hookers 2455 headers. 2" primary and 3.5" collector. HKR2455

Been a while. finished my dana 60. just need to swap it over. motor went in last winter. had to change headers from the hookers due to fitment. they were very tight if i wanted to run any kind of exhaust. I ordered fenderwell headers from maddog headers and had them ceramic coated. They fit great and look awesome.
