Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

Just realized Fitech is in my backyard. Wonder if I can do a will-call pickup?

If you can pickup, see if they will give you a tour and report back to us on how the place looks.

This is to Big Kev-O what vented fuel cap did you go with? I'm not sure you mentioned it or I might have read over it.

Well, the Canadian dollar tanking means I'm going to postpone this US purchase. $1,600USD is $2,300Canadian now. Our dollars were 1:1 in 2011.

I installed the command center with lots of pics and had to build a bracket. Only took two hrs with building the bracket. But it's took me 3 hrs with these damn push locks and Russell line. Man are they tough. I had to boil the hose ends for 10 minutes each and still put out like donkey kong to get them on. I don't wish a push lock on anyone. I will do a install thread this weekend when I get time. I really like the product so far. Throttle body may be here tomorrow

Wow. I did my whole fuel system with Earl's push locks and line, and they went together scary easy. But they do not come apart easy.

I am hear to tell you. I greased. Wd40. Had in a vise I am 6,2 220 damn near standing on them and could only get them to the first rib. Had my neighbor a 56 year old dot machinery mechanic come over and tried and said something was wrong they was to hard to put together. Even after boiling I literally still had to put every ounce of weight into them and bounce on them. My arms and hands are sore!!!

That doesn't seem right. Mine had a little bottle of oil, and you put a drop in the end of the line and just pushed the fitting. Took a little force, but it felt like you would be able to pull it back out and no way it would seal. I tried to pull one apart with everything I've got and couldn't move it. And I'm a 6'3", 395 lb professional armwrestler.

Dayum dude lol. When is your kit coming in? I can't wait until you get you some of these tiny fittings lol. Given you may just push them in with ease but me and my neighbor was both bowed up on mine together with no success. He even said it was to hard just to buy new line. But I figured I would try the boil method and it did soften the hose enough. I hope yours are easier than mine.

Oh there is no way in hell these will ever pull out. I can guarantee you would break the hose before they came off the fitting.
