Re: The Patina Machina
That makes me sick to see that happen to a beautiful truck.I know this is a family site, but I think a lot of you would like some time with the driver of the other truck, only for a few minutes.I hope you can get it fixed alright.

That does blow! It's good you're okay and thankfully you got a good witness to this. Sorry to see this.

Re: The Patina Machina
Unless you signed the paper that says you decline uninsured motorist coverage, all policies have to have it offered to you the way I understand it... In Texas anyways. Make the claim. You can substantiate the real value of your truck with ease, lots and lots of these trucks have documented value so dont let the insurance company work you over. Man I hope it works out to your advantage. It may not seem like its possible at this point but make the call and make them show you the paper you signed if they say you did. My best friends daughter was hit, ins. co. said she didn't have the uninsured motorist coverage, she asked to see the allegedly signed paper and they could not produce it. They paid the entire claim. I am going through it now too, my box truck was hit last night (3 AM) in front of my business, and of course the drunk ass driver didnt have ins. Its actually better to file the claim under the uninsured motorists than under the comprehensive portion of your policy. The ins. co. cant raise your rate because of the claim AND it's a lower deductible. I hope you get a big fat check because of someones inexcusable behavior. You have blood, sweat and how may hours? in that truck. Its a damn shame.
Maybe I should be an insurance salesman..... Brian |

Re: The Patina Machina
Alright all, so I am looking for a donor truck now. Would like to find one that is the same color with patina. Small window is a bonus, but not a must, but would like to keep it a '67. Please let me know if you come across anything out there and thank you in advance!

Re: The Patina Machina
Version 2.0 is done. Many thanks to LANDARTS for the donor truck and to BLAZERMAN for the stepside fenders. I couldn't have done it without you. The build was fun and I was able to do a few things different including the firewall.

Re: The Patina Machina
What is the typical ride height when you drive it? And when you set it down, does the frame touch the ground? BTW, beautiful fabrication work.

Re: The Patina Machina
Thank you! The ride height is around 3”-4” from the ground. When it’s down, yes, the frame is flat on the ground.

Re: The Patina Machina
I just didn't see the need to do it. I would have if I was running higher HP/torque, but chose not to.

Re: The Patina Machina
Had a few shots in the snow from the other day. Also did the valve cover adapters and was able to use original SBC valve covers.

Just a few newer pics. It's been a while since I have posted. Finally got the Vintage Air in. The pics are random. but from C10's in the Park, Goodguys in Scottsdale a few weeks ago, and a video promo shoot for Rockford Fosgate in Glendale before Dino's Git Down.

Re: The Patina Machina
Super nice! Glad you could resurrect it and keep the original patina scheme.
I only wish my 67 would have come from an arid region like yours and have that little rust on it.
