truth be, unless I spend time going back and reading everything again, I have no clue what you said when or where. Don't think anyone cares who reported what either lol. It was reported by more than once though. No worries over my involvement..

since you guys seem to love memes, I thought I would share a game our 10 year old found. It's called "What Do You Meme"



Long short, you have a judge and a few players. The players have 7 word cards. The judge pics out photo for the round. The players choose the funniest word cards to match the photo (making a meme)






Super fun if you like laughing. There is an adult version and a few other too.

This response stuck in my head and I wondered why. Setting aside that you said you found it funny, I can illuminate what you are referring to as "being offended". Being offended has to do with crude joking or questionable innuendos - something that goes against someone's ideals or sense of propriety. Much different than that, many see masking as one of the few things that can be done to protect the people around them, and by doing that, protect the people close to them. IF and I'll reiterate IF, someone was intentionally trying to make fun of how someone was trying to protect the people they care about, it would not be seen as offensive, it would run much deeper than that...

Hopefully that helps you see why some people took the time to report it and why I asked what the intended humor was.

No kidding! When I see something that I find amusing, I smile to myself. If I don't like it or understand it, I ignore it and move on. But that's just me.....

And as I am sure you are aware, my comment that you quoted was in response to the editorializing - quoted in the post you quoted me from, number 1278 - that followed the removal of my post that simply asked what was meant to be funny about the meme. What followed were two posts that said it's funny because he's wearing a mask all alone in his car. And then I said, thank you for the responses, because I hadn't seen it that way. All benign and so I don't know why it was removed. There may have been follow on comments that I never saw.

I didn't know about any of that. I only knew of the meme post which I too thought was 'funny' because the guy is all alone in his car wearing a mask & gloves. I wear a mask even though I don't have to & chuckle when I see someone alone in their car driving around w/their mask still on. Glad it's all in the past now.
