Loved watching this one, and I'm glad it's going to get finished.

Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

Had some renderings done for the build. Tried to stay true to the build with some personal touches. I am sure there will be some changes as the build goes.

No love for the 69/70 front clip? 😢 Renders look good! Looking forward to seeing how you progress! 👍🏾

Thanks. It is the same front clip that was swapped on it. I don’t have the original 69/70 clip from him.

The Mafia Truck disagrees. I think they pretty much got it right on all the 67-72's though...I like em all for different reasons

MHLY01, how are you feeling about the renderings? See any details you're thinking about changing now or do you think this is pretty close to what it's gonna be?

I like all the front ends. Each unique. I have a ‘71 as well which I will do a billet grill in and clean up.

I think the renderings are good. I sent pics or ideas of what I wanted done and we went through a few Iterations. Things such as shave drip rails, one piece windows, smooth and tucked painted bumpers I added. Rendered Rides was great to work with and super reasonable. I am sure a few things will change as we go such as wheels, maybe trim, door handles, etc. Happens with all builds. I am open to suggestions always. I went back and forth in colors and really liked the color he chose.

I should have some renderings of the interior later on. It will be a full custom interior with Relicate Leather by Mobile Toys Inc. Dash, doors, etc. will all be one off. Nothing wild as I prefer clean and classy to match the exterior build.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Looks really good to me! I think we all just want to see someone rolling this thing...no matter what condition it ends up in!

One suggestion I was thinking when looking at the rendering was going one-piece windows on the rear doors. Probably wouldn't be able to roll them down all the way because of all the hardware in the door with the hinges, but could be cool 🤷🏾*♂️

It's good to see the Burbs getting some full builds! This one is gonna be 🔥

Nothing yet. It is at the shop waiting to head over to Alamo once they clear up some room. It should be headed there soon. Been busy with another project that started before I picked this up. Started on the forums but ended deciding to redo it all as I wanted to make it right.

Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

Haven't started another thread. This was actually built on the forums but when we got it there were some things that needed to be fixed so we tore it all apart as is required LOL It has full coil-over system from Choppin Block now and Brandon Sisco is doing the 4th door.

Re: Joined the Short Wheelbase Club *69 Tahoe Project*

Just logged online. Tahoe is going to the shop soon. Crew cab coming along. Had a lot of issues we found and ended up new rockers, roof skin, door skins, back cab, cab corners, etc.... I should have started from scratch. What was done before was not done correct. So apart it came and back together it is going. Cab is almost done and Choppin Block front and rear are installed with Revelator Brakes. Bunch of panels from VanNatta. Mar-K bed wood. We are flushing the side marker lights. Brando Sisco has done wonders on the cab and Jason Watts is putting together the frame nicely. He will start assembling the rest soon. I highly recommend both. Let's see if anyone notices the extra work done to the cab.

Rear cab wall leaned forward for sure. Windshield frame looks like it's slightly laid back as well.

Been a while. Blazer is at a new home now getting started! Brandon Sisco will be doing all the metal work on it. We have a few tricks planned up its sleeve. I would follow him on Instagram if you got it to see updates and some of his great work. It will go to Alamo Customs afterwards for paint and Mobile Toys Inc for interior.
