You need to check out the San Antonio/Austin/Fredericksburg area of Texas. They call it the Hill Country and it is absolutly gorgeous! I have family in F'burg and have been going down there all my life. Even Jessie James (West Coast Chopper fame) have sold all his stuff in Cali and moved to the Austin area and now operates Austin Speed Shop. That area is my favorite...I prefer the small town/country areas but have close access to the big city stuff to do and work...if that makes sense..

We need more great trucks in Texas! Yours would fit in fine...

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

I have a question that I might have missed the answere to earlier in this build...

The truck came with the orange paint when you got it, correct? If so, have you done anything to the paint (except the door logo, which is OUTSTANDING!)?

FYI: Here is a link to Fredericksburg, TX web site...Great place...

Talk about highjacking a thread! I have to agree with the above! The central area of Texas, around Austin is incredible although Jessie James moved there only to stalk his ex-wife. I'm in the north Texas area in Fort Worth. A lot of businesses are moving to this area so it is really growing. I'd stay away from Houston and Dallas because of the size and congestion with the highways.
Yeah, they play politics a little different down here!

I now return you to your regularly programmed thread.

Ok I want to thank Mike at Magnacharger for sponsoring Tootsie with her new TVS 2300. The new hp number on the truck is 1000 plus at the wheels. Because of this development we are selling the 1900 with intercooler for 3600 please let me know if any of you are interested. Thanks Eric

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Here are the updates for the day. I have to thank all of you guys for your support and help. But there is one brother on here that has gone above what I would expect from any member. Truckmanloco Travis is a guy that I feel like I have known forever. He contacted me several months back regarding the engine and blower set up. This guy is the man he has driven from San Diego to deliver parts to me. But the biggest thing he has done has taken it upon himself to get Tootsie sponsorship. Thanks Travis this truck would not be were it is today with out you. We will be doing the debut at goodguys delmar I hoppe you guys can see it in person. When the time is right I will let you guys know who is on board. Thank you again to everyone on the board. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Thanks Brother that means alot. The list of sponsors is growing by the day lots of cool companies and products.

Thanks guys I really appreciate the info. I really want to go to Texas tired of California's bs. So info helps thank you. Also with paint the truck was based out we had to fix a few spots on the bed cut the paint cleared it and cut and buffed it. It is a super nice paint job. Truck was completely media blasted and all rust was patched or panels were reprint. Stack pockets were shelved inside the bed and all bolts replaced and welded up in the bed. We are really happy with the way it turned out. I will cut and buff the paint one last time

Granbury is the name and the lake is nice. Between Ft. Worth and Granbury is the Pate Trasnportation Museum where the Pate swap meet was held for years until in moved to the TX Int'l Speedway. I lived in Ft. Worth for 22 years. Loved it. We moved to AR for family and scenery but may be relocatoing to the Mooresville area in NC.
Nice thing about Ft. Worth and to a lesser degree, Granbury is it's not too far fram Dallas where they have EVERYTHING you would ever want but you don't have to deal with their traffic.

Edit, Sorry, when I posted this I realized I missed a whole page and Mike had already given the info.

Man, CA must be in bad shape for you to consider moving your practice, and your family ties. When you come out you're going to love the attitude they have for business. Night and day. If Texas makes a move toward succession I'll move there in a heartbeat.

Congrats on the sponsors, although it sure is a bummer that those are coming on board as this is your last truck.

Did you notice this Camaro that Mike took a pic of? Stole your blue tape idea.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Thank you guys we are really considering it. We now have a 2/3 majority dems. in the state and they are looking to screw us with more property taxes and taxes in general. I pay 50 percent of my money to the government as it is and I oftern wonder how much is enough. I work my ass off everyday and give to my fellow man. I am tired of the regulations and I need to move were there are more people like me. I work in a clinic 2 days a week and I see so much fraud and abuse I just cant take it anymore. So need to move were there is decent weather and good car scene.

Looks great, I would be a nervous wreck taking those nice painted body panels off and on so many times....

Is Steinbrecher a German name?
