This was Nate's first post when he started this thread.

To answer your question......

Re: Back-half, Corvette C4 in 69

I certainly hear ya on the economy. I started out wanting to go one way (heavy on the porterbuilt parts), then ended up buying a welder and budget parts.

I wish I had a dropmember and a C4 rear - and Porter's beautiful work. Instead, I have a Thunderbird SC rear end and a lot of ugly welds. But thanks to Porter's ingenuity and willingness to share his thoughts with people on this forum, I found strength to attempt my own.

Re: Back-half, Corvette C4 in 69

I just wanted to bump this thread. After talking to Nate, he said if I gave him enough time and money, I could have one, too. So I bought a '94 Corvette to celebrate.

'66 C10 + '08 Cadillac interior + '94 Corvette engine/brakes/suspension = Dream truck!

Re: Back-half, Corvette C4 in 69

Subscribed. Will have to check out the porterbuilt kit and info. I have all of the rear suspension from my C4 Coupe except the rear spring, and the Dana 36 that I have since sold. If I were to use my center section I would to the Dana 44 Conversion anyway. Interested in seeing what is done with the Transverse Mounted spring. Wonder what could be done to get rid of the rear spring, and go with something different.

Well... the bad news is that we are not making the C4 kits anymore.

Just isn't enough demand to justify spending the time on them anymore.

Most people either go with a coil over or a shockwave, but something like this connected to the same place the leaf spring connected to would work real well if you wanted adjustability or wanted to lay frame.

I probably would use the stock shock mount though, unless it restricted travel.
