Here's an update. Truck is still @ Stoked Our Specialties in Rockwall TX. Roger has done some amazing metal working with the cab and frame. While the truck was away I got a Billet Specialties Tru-Trac. My wife decided, I mean "we decided" that may be the ramjet 502 could hold off a little longer. Considering the amount of metal work in store.

Roger, so far has shaved the firewall flat. Replaced the steering column with an Ididit column and fabed the linkage between the column and the rack. Replaced both rockers w/ n.o.s. rockers. Boxed the front frame where the engine will be mounted. And has spent countless minutes talking to me and answering questions about this whole process. I can't say enough about the awesome service. I will try to post more pics soon

WOW,the truck is going to be badass. I cant decide which modification I like best yet,so I will just say I like them all.The firewall is one of the top ones so far.....among many others.

Went by Stoked Out Specialties the other day and snapped a few pics of the progress. Roger and Keith just amaze me with their metal working capabilities. After the firewall was shaved the inner support for the original firewall was installed in the new firewall for support. Motor was moved back 1.5 inches to gain clearance for the Tru-Trac. Here are a few pics.

Your truck is SICK! I love the black valve covers. One question. Did they remove the fractory sheetmetal where the steering column and brake booster mounts too and reinstalled it with the new sheetmetal?. Is that what that one pics is showing? Just curious. They look like they do amazing work. Keep up the great work.

ABADSVT, Yes that is exactly what they did. Roger fabed a new lower steering column mount and shortened the brake pedal mount.

Film Guy

The Truck is simply amazing!!! I have a similar set-up out back, 9" from Moser, believe it's 58". The only difference is I am running a parallel 4-link from KP. I was wondering if you had a few pictures of the first set of bed sills without anything covering them. I just bought new sills and bed sides, and am having a little trouble figuring the best way to install them. Thanks for the help you have already provided with your build thread and keep up the excellent work.

Bigshoe24, Thanks for the complements. I looked through my pics and I didn't shoot any of just the sills and bed sides. I assume that you are using a wood floor. The wood sits on top of the sills and then the bed sides sit on top of the wood. I substituted the wood that the bed side would sit on for 3/4 " steel tube. This simulates the thickness of the wood. Then I went from there. Depending on how tall your notch is will determine how much the floor needs to be raised.

I love the look of the fire wall, simple clean and will reall set off that bad @ss motor! I also really like the simple way they notched the frame for the steering. Very nice details!

First off, the truck is SICK!!!! I have a couple questions though. In the front, what type of spindle are you running? In the back, are the caliber brackets welded or bolted on. Also, are the rear disc one piece or do they have hats? Any pictures of the inside rear brake set-up would be tight, or possibly a few part numbers. Thanks for the help.

Sorry guys, I haven't posted in a while. The cab and doors are still at the dippers. After all the work being done, I don't want something like a spot of rust to ruin a good paint job. I am scheduled to pick it up @ the end of the week. The 3 week job has so far taken over 6 weeks. But hey, "good things come to those who wait". So I am waiting.

Oh... By the way! got a big surprise coming. I will snap a few pics when the crate arrives.

Bigshoe24, Thanks for your complements. The front spindles are drop spindles for a MII stage 5 from Fatman Fab. The rear caliper brackets are bolt on. The rear assembly is Wilwood Part # 140-7140. Its a hat style with internal parking brake. Remember I am not using the stock rear end. Its now a Ford 9" made by moser. Hope this helps.

Yep! the 402 is a big block platform, however, not really big cubic inch. I'm not really impressed with what I have been reading about the ramjet 502. Not to say its all bad, just that there is better for the price.
