Re: Project: white knight 1967 step
Alright guys , I finally got ahold of my camara , so here is a 4 pack . I still need a front end alignment and to install the bed wood . Im going to buy the metal strips and do the bed floor from the local hardware store . Im going to see what kind of bolts they have that will work for this . The bed strips will be painted body color . Looking for opinions about the stance also . Not looking for a "bagged" look just a subtle "whats different about that truck " look . Thinking maybe I should drop it another inch , just not sure . My wife loves it now and said leave it alone . Im thinking the V-8 and auto might bring the front down a little more , so i won't be "adjusting" the stance until after that phase of the build . That chapter will include motor , trans , power steering , tilt & A/C . I have most of this ready to install and this will all happen as 1 operation . I honestly don't believe i will ever get to drive it after that since my wife will probably be in it all the time from that point on . She is already talking about going to some of the area cruise-ins on weekends . She really got on board after the bed went on . I'll try and get a good side shot tonight . Anyway here are the pictures .

Re: Project: white knight 1967 step
It really does look great.
I personally think a 4/6 may be a little more than you will want. But I do think a 4/6 looks good. Maybe photo-chop it and play with that until you get the look you (and the wife) want, then scale the wheel openings to see what drop that is. My guess is a 3/5 or so. I do not personally like a perfectly level truck, just a hint of rake looks better. It is a truck after all. Love the teal on the tailgate letters. The bumper came out well also. How's the LUV doing? Re: Project: white knight 1967 step
I believe the front dropped 1.5" from the spindle/disc brake conversion and the rear springs were 2.5" shorter than the stock ones . I'll get a good side picture of it tonight . I left the bumper on it cause i could tell you liked it on the truck . Im glad i did . I didn't think i'd like it but i do and everyone who looks at the truck likes it .
I tested with the luv friday night and found a few bugs . Been workin on them also . Gettin ready to make a big change powerplant/tranny wise on it . Been saving money and piling up parts for a long time to make this change . Hope it works out . Drag racing is an addiction to me . I have been doing it since i made my first pass @ 13 years old . I still have almost every time slip catigorized also . Anyway sorry to stray . Thanks for the opinions and keep them coming .

Re: Project: white knight 1967 step
As you know I like the SUPER slammed trucks, but with the direction you have taken with the one I think that it looks pretty good as is & even better yet the wifey likes it
So if you do decide to lower it I think a 4/6 would be nice Yeah, you better like that bumper |

Re: Project: white knight 1967 step
The bed sides are in the body shop being prepped for paint . I will get them straight and ready no matter which way it goes .
I got the passenger side inner fender installed . Replaced the 3 core radiator with a 4 core i bought at the Houston group/swap meet , as the old one was done . Adjsuted the hood and painted the grill brace flat black so it wouldn't stick out . Replaced the battery cables and cleaned up the connections , as it has had a intermittant starting problem . But the main thing, is i was able to get it out and run it a little this weekend . I actually put the frist tank of fresh gas in it . Put some Marvel mystery oil in the 6 , as it has had a lifter that seems to be hanging up at around 3000 rpms . I did find a fuel leak in the tank and drained the gas and patched it . I will be replacing or relocating the fuel tank . I managed to lock the trans in second as i pulled into the auto parts parking lot , but manage to pull a smoth repair off while some people were looking at the truck . So far im getting about 2 thumbs up per mile . It is running better and better the more I drive it .

Re: Project: white knight 1967 step
Pics are coming . I ordered a oak bed kit for it and im fixin to order new strips and maybe a hardware kit . Got the spare mounted , never thought it would be hard to find a 235/75/15 . The clutch is going out and the linkage is hard to deal with . Thinking about just putting the TH-350 and tlit column in it now and drivin the 6 for a while . My wife and daughter really love this truck . I caught my daughter the other night in the garage just sitting in the drives seat , she's 15 . I have also been working on the Camaro a little . So progress has been a little slow .
