Re: SPID Picture thread?
Well my SPID was removed at one point, but I do have the original Dealer Imprint Plate, which I thought was kind of cool. I also have the original manual and registration. I like old paperwork lol.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
hey guys, I'm working on making my SPID
I have chrome bumpers front and rear, rectangular sport mirrors from a 72 and windshield trim. would all of these be standard with the CST option. If not what are the RPO codes for the sport mirrors and windshield trim. I found the chrome bumper one. Also what is the code for a 4.10 12 bolt? JA1 or HB8

Re: SPID Picture thread?
I thought I read that you can get a new one and info directly from GM?
Anyone have a link or info? Mine was removed from the 69 when she was painted yellow. I would love to find out what was factory original. |

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Cole, looks like were both in the same boat. I don't think GM has the info on each individual truck. I'm going to get a spid from chipflyer and just list the options that I can verify.

What does the " w/base 115" mean on my spid? I have searched and searched and can not find the answer.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
I just noticed that my truck had a paint stripe option. Was that a pin stripe or was it the bottom of the body painted? I'm gonna paint it back to stock some day so this might be good to know.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
I'll add mine and a couple of questions
72 Burb What is the difference between 4 season AC and AC-OV 68 parts truck The "special paint" is throwing me, Plus I really can't make out all the numbers Foam seat? as opposed to cardboard, plywood, Or a 5 gallon bucket? and I'm going to assume that "HTR shut-off valve" is heater, but if that wasn't an option does that mean the heater would stay on all the time?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Special paint to my knowledge means the truck was ordered with a non production color. Could be from a car line, industrial business color, who knows. Mine was ordered lime green from GM, and has the special paint designation. It looks like there is alot of blue overspray there? Can you see any areas that show what the original color was?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Every panel on that truck is spray bombed. The outsides are white over black, the interior is blue, underside of the hood is black and the engine compartment is white. It doesn't look like arctic white more of krylon white. I'll know for sure when I start to disassemble.

Normally, the heater core has coolant flowing through it at all times, the hot/cold lever just controls how much air flows through it. With the shut-off valve, you can shut-off coolant to the heater core. Keeps it a little cooler in summer, i guess???
