Re: Billet Radio Plate for cut dash...opinions?

Count me in also for a set...I'm local so maybe we can work something out? I'll PM you. Awesome work...

On a side note, I'm new to the board and love it here. So much information and nice people. I just bought my 67 stepper 2 months ago and I'm eager to start on it!

Re: Billet Radio Plate for cut dash...opinions?

I am going to order a batch of each part next week. For all the people that prepay before I place the order, the cost will be as previously posted...$53 unpolished and $67 polished. This includes the radio plate and the heater control bezel (each, not for both). After I place the order the cost will go back up $10 for each piece.

So its 53 for BOTH the bezel and the radio plate?? Or 53 each?

How is the one for putting an original radio back in coming along?

Once you get those I will definatly want one and the heater-a/c trim as well.

Hoping to have one cut next week, I'll send you pictures when I get it. Are you wanting it polished or natural looking? That piece is going to be more complicated to sand, prep and polish, but it's doable...

I was hoping to get a minimum of 25 committed orders but that isn't going to happen so I'm going to front the rest and hope I can sell them. I'm going to order the batch of them on Wednesday. Hopefully I will get them in within a week or so

Very nice!
2 questions- Can you make a plate that would go from edge to edge in this entire area with the key hole and cig hole cut out? Can you add the ball milled lines?. I'm thinking just a thin flat plate that I could sandwich the key/cig bezels to.

I'm working on a bezel for this area, but it will need to be more than a flat plate because the cigarette lighter location is recessed back into the dash. I also have to figure out how to attach the ignition bezel.

Re: Billet Radio Plate for cut dash...opinions?

ok, maybe you could mock it up so it fits right to the diameter of the bezels so they would not need removing. if it's thin, double sided tape would hold it.

Great looking product. Any chance that piece would be useable in any other classic gm vehicles? That might help you have more potential customers. I'm not familiar enough with other classics, but something for you to consider.

I thought about that, but since the ignition bezel and lighter bezel screw on, I have to put some thought into it.

I agree, I'm not getting much interest from the 67-72 crowd so I'm going to see what else it might fit

Interested in the one piece w/ the bezels to screw into also...and also think that you will find the market will open up once some of these are installed and show up in rides on the boards...

A billet ignition bezel would be crazy! But given the amount of machining needed.....crazy expensive sounds more like it.

Oh- I'm sure there's plenty of interest in your kick-a$$ stuff, myself included. I suspect that there are alot of folks on here like me who've had a big chunk of their disposable income chewed up by the rising costs of everything. I swear I'll get a paypal out to you in the next couple weeks for at least a radio bezel and hopefully a heater bezel too (if the allowance will cover it).

Thanks for your great products and patience.
