Great meeting and talking to you too!

We will see, maybe this weekend... just depends how far along I get on the interior on Sat and whether I have it put back together..lol...

Pomona was awesome... love that place... lots of stuff and of course bought stuff I wasn't really looking for..

Re: Old Blue eyeS updates with pics!

Oky Doky...

I got the interior pretty much finished... insulation and carpet... got my 8-track hooked up with an alpine amp ..lol.. just the two speakers in front kcik panels for now, until I build some boxes for some 6x9 two-ways in the rear. I saw on the later trucks they built the speaker boxes into the unused cubby corners.. great idea!

here are some of the pics..

I put this sound padding over the deadener... it just layed in over the other stuff, and used the spray glue for the back wall... its some heavy stuff! my son helped me with everything....

mostly finished pics...

I have some cleaning up to do now... and a bit of detail work... like moving the brights floor switch away from kick panel... and cleaning up the glue...

Haven't decided on the seat yet..

Re: Old Blue eyeS updates with pics!

Oh yea..

Think I mentioned how I hated the door latches... take a look at this

I got a bit of cleaning up/body work and paint... BUT well worth it... they shut completely, against the door jam rubber, no leaks.. AND like butta...

one finger shuts it... now for the other side...

Very nice build! I like the way you hid the bed bolts, I thought of something like that, just havnt got that far yet.

How do you like the digital gauges?

Thanks! As to the gauges...I really like them, especially installation as well as any time I have to work behind the dash. Its just a ribbon cable from the brain box mounted on the fire wall. extremely easy install. Ultimately price was pretty competitive with upscale gauges.

Thanks guys! the latches work perfectly with the inside handles.. gonna have to fab something to make them work with the old style outside handles and locks. I could just shave the doors and have auto locs, but I like how the old school handles look. SO.. fabbing it is..

Re: Old Blue eyeS updates with pics!

Use the autolocs and fab a switch to the old style handle. Then you can use the handle or have a remote.

Good idea, but I want to keep it manual. I don't like the idea of only being able to get inside the truck when the battery is working. Thank you though!!

I would suggest keeping it manual; shaved doors are a PITA. Mine are electric and I always have to rig stuff up to open them and stuff a rag in the latch so they dont close while I'm working on stuff.

Are your new latches bear claw?? Sorry if I missed a previous post.

Yup, the new latches are bear claws, Autoloc is the brand, but I am not putting electrics on it. For some of the reasons you state, amoung others.
FYI I used the small size locks, not the large.

Thanks everyone!! Final (well final for now..lol) pictures are on the main board under the heading - thank you for all the help...

I don't think the bumper is upside down...But I have replaced that bumper, it was majorly(sp?) bent, the new one is nice and right. The wheels are cool.. I usually pick my wheels on how easy they are to clean..lol, as well as the simple look..

not that it matters, but i think the bumper was upside down...that's just how it seemed when comparing it to pics of mine...but in the new pics you posted, it looks correct...awesome truck nonetheless

I will get my truck back when my son heads off to college, so in goes a 700r4 and a 454 that I have sitting and waiting patiently..lol.. oh and I might change the gears in the back from the 2.93's (to keep my son sane).. to something a bit more exciting for Friday Nights

These are a few pics that a friend of mine took (she is very talented photographer here in Vegas) at the Super Run in Henderson, NV this last year. I got a plaque for top 10% .
