I actually purchased them from KP Components. After I cut them all up I could of actually made them. I added the piece of square tubing in the center for added assurance. I had to trim them back a bunch when i changed the panhard bar that I got from Nate. It all eventually came together really nice.

I will have to install one of the dropped spindles and see how much lift it will loose.
I fixed this issue also. Had to move the bag mounting holes out 3/4" to center the top hat of the bag to the bottom hat of the bag. I will snap some shots of it tomorrow, left my camera at the shop.

Looks like super nice project. I really like the attention to small details. I'm in too.

Hey thanks, Yeah I was looking at some online and they don't give a good enough description of measurements. I'll probably just make my own Nate

yep, it is in the firewall area. i think i am going to have to fix it from the inside. i do not think it is going to be an easy repair.

i may paint it a shade of saddle or maybe a version of a 50th edition. still on the fence.

Re: El Chingon

When you got your rear diff powder coated did you tear the rearend all the way apart or can you just drain the oil and close it up. Will the heat cause damage to the bearings or seals?

Re: El Chingon

I took mine down to the bare housing for two reasons, first it needed a complete rebuild and second that is the way my powder guy wanted it. lol

Thank you, it is tough to build one from the frame up and not have a nice running driving truck to start with. It will be nice to say that I built it when it is done.

Re: El Chingon

Ran into another snag last night. I am using a factory cross-member that I cut up to fit the application. Well I decided to flip the carrier bearing to align the drive line. In doing this I noticed that the factory carrier hanger has angle built into it. So i relief cut it to angle the bracket down instead of up to accommodate the new angle it has acquired with the dropmember. I also may a layout of the holes to make sure it went back to the same location after cutting and welding.

Re: El Chingon

Now I have it angled down so that the carrier bearing is in the same plain as the drive shaft. Just a little info for you guys doing the same thing.

Re: El Chingon

it is done via an adapter that takes it from stud centric to hub centric ten lug. At the time I was building the truck it was very expensive, now they are a dime a dozen.

Not really, I have been super busy at work with projects and doing some trade shows in the sheet metal market. Been traveling to Atlanta, Orlando, and Vegas. Leave for an Elk hunt in Colorado on Tuesday. My Daughters birthday is in November and with all the Holidays coming I dont know when I will have time. Just stocking some parts right now and doing research. I thought it would be further along then this, don't we all.

Re: El Chingon

Great looking dually and love the frame. What did you use for your disc brake conversion on the rear?
