I had a forum member (Putter) build this for me and I am very happy
what do you think ?
By the way Putter custom built the clock because Autometer doesn't make it
it in a phantom in a size 3 3/8

Can you elaborate on the 194 LEDs? Where to get them? Also how about a night picture with it lit up? Did you take pictures when you built this? I used to have a Pontiac and I love red lit instruments!

The 194 bulbs are a little brighter than the stock 161 general illumination bulbs in our trucks. You can also put the even brighter 168 bulbs that are used in the indicator positions into the general illumination locations to make the lighting even brighter. I have done this to every older vehicle I have owned and it makes a big difference.

161 bulb output - 13 lumens
194 bulb output - 25 lumens
168 bulb output - 38 lumens

These numbers are for incandescent bulbs. I would assume they are similar light output for the same numbered LED replacement bulb but they could be way different.

When it comes to those incandescent bulbs. When the lumens go up, so does the heat. Most likely you wont have a problem, but just something to beware off. LED should not have any heat problems.

According to Sylvania's info the wattage doesn't go up as fast as the lumen output but they definitely consume more energy to work and will increase the heat load a bit. Not a bunch but it will increase.

161 - 2.7 watts
194 - 3.8 watts
168 - 4.9 watts

Is that a square body fuel gauge in the middle? I had thought about setting one up that way and using a third gen Camaro speedo & tach in place of the truck gauges.
