Re: 1965 C-10 LS build
I'm getting closer. Most of the interior is done. Carpet is in, seat is in, the air tank is mounted. Still need to moun the steering wheel and the e-brake handle. The heater controls are in and the blower motor works great. Not sure on the stereo yet. I've seen people mount a 4 channel amp and some speaker and just use their I-Pod for music, may try that. Mount the shifter boot was a pain in the a**.
The drive train is 90% installed. Still need some coolant, hook up the torque converter, drive shaft and a electric fan. The body parts went together good. So far everything is lining up. I need to paint the headlight mounts, will get that done tomorrow. Then comes the trim. Need to do a lot of polishing. Not looking forward to that. Anyway here are some more pictures: I'm hoping to get it started by middle of next week. More to come. Have a great night.

Re: 1965 C-10 LS build
It's alive again. Pick up the drive shaft today got it installed, filled the trans with fluid, put some gas in the tank, check for leaks and it fired right up. So far everything is running great. I have to pick up a new lower steering shaft, which came in at the local speed shop, install it on Thursday and if the weather is good take it for a short ride. Hope fully after the test ride there is not much to adjust. The next part to finish is the bed. Till then here are a few pics:

Here is the link: http://www.lt1swap.com/2000harness.htm They have a lot of info and it made the process easy. I used a local company to reprogram my pcm. Their company is called speedinc. Thanks again and have a good night. Also I like that suburban build. I would love to redo one of them after mine is done.

Re: 1965 C-10 LS build
Thank you. I just looked at your truck, thats nice. I love that color. I like the way then big tires fill up the wheel opening. Very nice job on the workmen ship, again very nice!!!!!
Besides the narrowed rear end did you have to do anything to the frame? Thanks again.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I took it for a ride a couple of times and it runs great. It gets up and goes. I am having some issues with the transmission. It is sluggish on the 1st to 2nd shift and the shift points seem to be off. I'm hoping it is just a computer issue or maybe a small adjustment with the line pressure. Any way I got all the trim put on and still need to finish up a few small trim and weather stripping items. I will get some pictures taken today and posted. Again thanks again for the comments. Hope everyone has a great day. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 1965 C-10 LS build
It's been awhile since the last update. The guy that built my trans came by the other night. He replace the servo on the side of the trans, dropped the valve body and checked all the connections and made a few changes to the plate under the valve body. Put the fluid back in it and started it up. I still have a small issue with the idle when it goes in gear, he says to sounds like it could be a relearn issue with the dbw system. In total he spent around 3 hours there and would not take a dime for his time.
The next day I took it for gas and a quick shake down run and it ran great and it shift just as good. Later that night took a ride to a local cruise night along with a friend of mine in his 32 coupe. It was nice to get it out and enjoy the cars. Im hoping this week to get the bed finished, the emergency brakes connected and a few small rattles fixed. Hope everyone has a great night.
