You nailed that static stance! Curious how the ride quality will be compared to the bags on your Impala...

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Merry Christmas all.
I have been slowly continuing some fabrication, repairs and mocking up some things.
At ride height, I have 1/4 degree camber with no shims so Nate is making me a set of upper a-arms 3/8" shorter.
I got the Porterbuilt panhard setup installed and final welded.
I have repaired one of the messes made on a set of step side type? rear back up lights that was installed and they drilled about six holes in each side when mounting so I cut out the areas with holes and welded in a patch. One side still left to do.
I have included a photo from the rear of the bed to see how high the bed frame is raised.
I got the rear sill 2x3 final welded and have put a few supports in from the sills up to the new bed frame.

If I owned your truck I think I would try to autocross it. with the suspension set up you have you can probably get it handling really well.

I completely agree! This will be the direction I take with my build if/when that day comes.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Nice work. Very nice.
I like the coil over suspension..
I am going to need to figure out how to apply that to my build.
I think Nate at Porterbuilt should give me a job since I live 5 minutes from his shop.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Thanks for all the comments.

I have received some of the parts for my rear swaybar and when the rest come in that is the next project. The right side is kind of a busy area to hook it up to where the coilover, frame, and panhard bar all take up the same space. I have a plan, I just need to have more parts in hand to see if it will all work. I am going with an 1-1/4" hollow bar with splined ends and aluminum arms with heim joints.

I did get the left side back up light hole welded up but that is about all.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Starting mockup of the rear sway bar. I have ordered the splined bar and can mount the bushing brackets then.

Not much new. As seen in top photo the rear coilovers were short so the adjuster was way up onto the threaded body of the shock. Nate had Ride Tech drop ship me a new set of rear coilover springs with the same spring rate but two inches longer. The adjuster is now one inch up from the bottom of the threads which is much better. The 36.5" long 1-1/4" .095 wall hollow rear sway bar I ordered really needed to be a bit longer so I ordered a 37.5" long one. I hope that shows up soon so I can complete the rear sway bar install. Haven't really done much else and we are in the middle of what is supposed to be an 18-24" snow storm which is a PITA to deal with, so probably won't work in the garage on the truck this weekend either.
